L.A. Colors Bright Cheek and Lips Tinted Stain Review

Hey all!

Today’s review will be on another stain! I picked up 4 variants of this tint- Muse, Cherry, Bright and Fever. Let’s get to review this baby! 😀

Price:
$1-2

Shelf Life:
24 months

My Experience with L.A. Colors Bright Cheek and Lips Tinted Stain:

Packaging: These little cuties come packaged in a white plastic tube packaging which is retractable. The cap is transparent, so you get to see the stain through it. The cap fits snugly and opens and shuts with a nice, audible click. The packaging is super cute and girly and I adore how nice it looks! There’s just something about new products!

I really love how clean, shiny and glass-like the new plastic products looks! The plastic isn’t that sturdy and might crack if it falls, but never mind, I’ll be extra careful with it. This stain is definitely travel friendly because it is small and doesn’t take up much space in your bag. The retraction mechanism works fine, but sometimes it doesn’t work that smoothly.

Color/Pigmentation: Can we just take a moment to adore the beautiful color of this stain? I just cannot get over how pretty it looks! Just looking at the color makes me so happy! The stain is bright fuchsia pink without any shimmer or glitter. It is absolutely adorable! It looks all neon and bright in the bullet, but it comes off just like how a stain should- sheer! But you can totally build up the pigmentation. The pigmentation is apt for using on the cheeks.

You just need a slight flush of color on your cheeks, whereas on the lips you can go a little over board and it will still look pretty! This color would flatter fair skin tones like no one’s business! It would look good on medium skin tones. I don’t know how it would look on dark skin tones though! The stain is very easy to apply, you just need a few dabs of the stain on your cheeks, slightly blend out the harsh edges and you’re good to go. Same with applying on the lips.

Texture: The texture of this gorgeous stain is creamy, but not that creamy! It is just a tad bit on the dry side, but I’m not complaining. It goes on smoothly on the cheeks and lips and that’s what we want, right? It blends very easily and doesn’t look garish at all. It gives you a somewhat soft and subtle look which I completely dig! It isn’t sticky, it doesn’t feel heavy and it doesn’t melt off when kept outside too. It settles as a matte blush and lip tint.

Staying Power: It stays for about 3-4 hours with fading. It’s got an average staying power. On the lips, it lasts for the same time but it fades with meals.

Smell: It doesn’t have any particular fragrance, so that’s a plus for sensitive noses!

  1. Such a pretty shade not sure about using it on lips, would love to use it as an everyday blusher. Wish staying was a bit better but with this packaging, seems like touch ups would be easy.
