Today I’ll be sharing an eye shadow palette. I got 5 of these palettes and I’m super happy with my purchase. Let’s review this palette!

My Experience with L.A. Colors Gold Rush Metallic Eye Shadow Palette:
Packaging: This eye shadow palette comes in a black plastic packaging with a clear plastic lid. You can easily spot these palettes due to the clear plastic. It also comes with a dual ended brush. The back side of the palette shows the ingredients list and some other information. The packaging isn’t that sturdy so you have to be careful about it. Overall it is sleek and convenient.
Colors/Pigmentation: These shadows do not have any name to them so we will just refer to them as shade 1, 2 etc.
Shade 1: This one is a very chalky yellow-gold color. I don’t really like this shade because it doesn’t apply evenly.
Shade 2: This shade is a very Indian-gold color. It’s a warm toned shade and would look beautiful on Indian skin tones.
Shade 3: This is a yellow based green with lots of gold shimmer. It is a bit chalky, but manageable.
Shade 4: This one is a copper-brown gold color with dull gold shimmers. Again, it is a beautiful shade.
Shade 5: My favorite shade out of this palette, it’s an orange color with gold shimmer. Very warm toned shade that looks beautiful on the eyes!
These shades are very nicely pigmented and you do not need a lot of the eye shadow. A little goes a long way. They can be easily built up.
Texture: What I like about this palette is their smooth and creamy texture. They blend in very easily and do not crease on the lids. But this palette has the maximum fallout out of all the 5 palettes! The eye shadows are very powdery!
Staying Power: These shadows last on my lids for about 4 hours without a primer. I guess a primer would increase the staying power by 1-2 hours at least.
Summing up the pros and cons..
Pros of L.A. Colors Gold Rush Metallic Eye Shadow Palette:
• Super cheap.
• Lovely colors.
• Wearable colors and suit Indian skin tone.
• Comes with a dual ended brush.
• Sleek packaging.
• Nice texture.
• Staying power.
Cons of L.A. Colors Gold Rush Metallic Eye Shadow Palette:
• Lot of fallout and very chalky shades!
• Not easily available in India, and if available, the prices are hiked!

Oh! This one is not as good as others, but still good to know that these are very pigmented.
Wow so much fallout! I wasn’t expecting this since these palettes have been so good so far! Nevertheless, there are still others to choose from 😀
