L.A. Colors Splash Jellie Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss Review

Today I will be sharing a lip gloss. But mind you, it is not just any gloss! It is Splash Jellie Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss as they call it. There were plenty of options available, but I chose to pick three lip glosses that I would use on an everyday basis. They are Venom, Coral pink and Splash Anyway. So now, without any further ado, let us get to review!

My Experience on L.A. Colors Splash Jellie Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss:

Packaging:
This Splash Jellie Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss comes in a rectangular packaging that looks quite good! It has a black cap and the body is made out of plastic but looks like glass. The front displays the name of the product and the back displays ingredients. The lip gloss is super sleek and very travel friendly. You can easily toss this in your hand bag and it would not leak out or anything. The wand is cute and short. It has a slanted doe foot applicator that makes the application of the gloss easy. The wand spreads the gloss evenly on the lips.

 

Colour/Pigmentation:
Splash looks like a blood red shade in the tube but actually it is a very sheer red gloss. It is not pigmented and no matter how much gloss you apply, you will only get a pinkish red tint. It makes your lips look full and healthy. It imparts a beautiful sheen and the tint looks super cute.

Texture:
This one is called ‘Jellie’ Shimmer and Sparkle Lip Gloss and truly the texture is jelly-like. I have never seen such consistency of a lip gloss. It looks like liquid jelly and is super moisturising. It is just a little bit sticky, but then that is how a lip gloss should be. It spreads evenly on the lips without tugging or pulling. It does not look patchy at all. The gloss is neither too runny nor too thick. It has appropriate consistency and one does not feel it after applying it.

Staying power:
Because of its consistency, the gloss stays for a longer time if applied as a tint. It survives light meals and stays for 5-6 hours. But if applied heavily, it stays for about 4 hours with fading.

Smell/ Taste:
It smells like Jelly, really! You know those cream biscuits with jelly at the center? It exactly smells like that! The fragrance is sweet but does not linger around for long. Hence, sensitive noses would not have a problem with it. It does not have any taste what so ever!
