My Experience with L.A. Girl Whiten Gel Glide Eyeliner Pencil:
Let’s begin with the packaging of the product. The eyeliner comes in a matte black colored sharpenable pencil. This matte black pencil has color-coded patterns and fonts printed all over it. The white fonts on the matte black pencil pop nicely and look very bright. The pencil has a color-coded base. The pencil has a clear cap, that does not shut very tightly. Hence, it is necessary to shut the cap tightly, else it may slip off easily. This is sharpen-able pencil, that needs to be sharpened after every use, to get a fresh pointed tip. However, they have not attached any sharpener with it. Overall, the packaging is fine and travel friendly.
The shade “Whiten” is another favorite shade from my collection of L.A Girl Gel Glide Eye Pencils. This eyeliner, as its name suggests, is a pure milky white eyeliner shade. This eye pencil has no shimmers or glitters in it. I love how it looks on my eyes and adds drama to the simple eyeliner look. It has a lovely pigmentation.
But, it gives a little streaky finish upon layering. It shows perfect color with two-three swipes. I tried using it as an eye shadow base too, as it provides a perfect canvas to make those brighter matte eye shadows show perfectly. It works as a great primer too. It is great option for people with smaller eyes, as it will give them an illusion of wide opened eyes.
The texture of these eye pencils is lovely. The liner feels very smooth and creamy. It glides easily and smooth on the eyelids, without any tugging or pulling of my delicate eye area. The eyeliner sets to a perfect matte finish. It does not have any pearly sheen like my lakme eyeconic white eyeliner. The formula is lightweight and I feel nothing on my eyelids. The eyeliner is safe for contact lens wearers. It never irritated my skin, even when I used it on my waterline.
The color is easily buildable, on my upper and lower lash line. The color is very easy to build on my waterline too, unlike the other glittery variants I own, that are difficult to build on waterline. It glides evenly on the eyelids and never gets patchy. The pencil is waterproof and smudge-proof. It does not have that tendency to crease. It looks so fresh throughout the day. Though, it has smoother texture, but the tip of the eye pencil does not break easily, even if a little pressure is applied, while applying the eyeliner on the eyes.
The lasting power of this eye pencil is good. It lasted for six hours on my eyelids, with a minimal fading from the corners of the eyes. The color looks fresh and intense throughout the day. But, the color fades away, after 4 hours or so from my waterline. There were not any heavy smudging issues. It is actually smudge-proof too. The eyeliner is easy to remove. But, the shimmers will be left behind, if a good makeup remover is not used. Overall, I am totally in love with eye pencil, so I would not mind its little cons.
