I love lip crayons to the core and totally grab them whenever I see them. I have been a big-time fan of Wet n Wild Megaslicks Balm Stain and while shopping for them, I got to see these ones from LA colors too. They were extremely affordable, so thought of trying a few shades.

My Experience with LA Colors Deep Red Chunky Lip Pencil:
Packaging: This chunky lip pencil is long and sleek. The best part about this pencil is that it’s a color-coded packaging though I should mention that the cap has some flaws, it comes off easily and secondly while closing the cap, a little bullet gets chipped off, but since each crayon is priced at just $1.99, I should not be complaining much. There are so many different shades to choose from in the Chunky Lip Pencil range of LA Colors.
Shade: “Deep Red” is a deep cranberry red shade which looks extremely awesome no matter what you wear or what skin tone you have. It doesn’t have any undertones; the colour is just a pure deep red. It is a cherry red or a Christmas red to be precise. It is very wearable and initially the colour goes a bit sheer, but with 2-3 swipes and a little wait, makes it intense with good pigmentation. It is a versatile shade; college and office goers will love it. The best part is that it leaves a nice stain, so you can fake healthy red lips.
Consistency and Pigmentation: This lip pencil is creamy and glides very smoothly on the lips. It is super hydrating and feels very buttery on my lips. Initially, it will cling on the dry patches, but it soon settles down to a creamy form. The finish is glossy and creamy too. It looks very cute on the lips. The pigmentation is really good for a lip crayon since the entire colour appears on my lips in just 2 swipes. It is a lip balm plus colour so does all that you expect.
Staying Power: The staying power is somewhere close to 3 hours. It starts to lose the creaminess after 2 hours and then the stain stays till the time you remove it. It transfers a lot initially, but after it turns into a stain, it does not transfer a lot. The lasting power is cool since I wouldn’t expect more at that price. Total steal, do grab a few for every-day use and even if you don’t like them later, then you won’t regret buying them.
