The clouds visit Hyderabad randomly out of the blue, like literally. 😉 There is a heavy downpour and then there is sunshine everywhere. The weather seems to be in a state of confusion or something. Anyway, let me get started with the review for today. I hope you guys have read my previous review about the L.A. Girl HD Pro Orange Corrector; today I have something similar from the same range. And, if you haven’t already guessed, I am reviewing the LA Girl HD Pro Conceal Yellow Corrector.

Packaging:
The L.A Girl Pro Conceal HD concealer comes packaged in a plastic tube that actually feels quite sturdy. The tube is secured with a screw on lid. What is interesting about the packaging is that in place of the dispenser, it has a bunch of dense bristles attached that dispense the product every time you press the tube and you can actually control the amount you want to dispense quite well. Hence there is no wastage of the product. The bristles also double up as an applicator, making the application quite easy.

My Experience with LA Girl HD Pro Conceal Yellow Corrector:

The yellow colour corrector comes in a thick cream based formula and is pale yellow in colour, well, very true to its name. The consistency of the product is quite thick and you would need very little quantity as it is deeply pigmented. The purpose of a yellow colour corrector, according to concealer basics, is to cover/correct blue/deep purple discoloration on skin.

I got this yellow corrector keeping in mind its purpose to correct deep discoloration. However, when I swatched this in person, I realized the shade of this yellow corrector can be a little too pale for my medium wheatish Indian skin tone and could actually highlight my flaws instead of covering them. Since the colour of this yellow corrector is so loud and pale, when I apply it over a dark spot or discoloration, it remains as a whitish patch. I try working with it by layering this over the orange corrector but this alone would not be a great choice for colour correcting if you have the same kind of complexion as I do.

So, instead, I have learnt to use it as a highlighter for my under eye area. I also use it to highlight the bridge of my nose and the area between my brows. It adds a subtle glow post blending. So, as much as I don’t find it useful for concealing or correcting, I definitely have found good use of it for highlighting when I want to go full hand with my makeup. So I am all good with this product so far. And, thanks to its thick consistency, I only need a tiny amount of it. Hence the product would definitely last me a good number of uses. This does not make my skin oily nor does it crease or show.

Yes!! It can be used in more than one ways and can fit in some way or other in your base makeup, so I wouldn’t hesitate to experiment at the price it comes for.
