So far, I have only liked the red shades from this Lakme Argan Oil Lip Color range. Somehow, the other lipstick shades have not appealed to me and I am not in a position to recommend anything from this range apart from the reds. I have tried 6 shades so far and “Crimson Silk” is my favourite so far. Have a look at this orange lipstick which has some shimmer to it.

My Experience with Lakme 05 Dewy Orange Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:
The lipstick is called “Dewy Orange,” but I had no idea that “dewy” would mean shimmer and sparkles. This lipstick has a lot of shimmer in silver and gold in a cream base.
Although the shimmer is concealed in layers, but as the lipstick wears off, the shimmer sitting on the lips is revealed. It does smear and smudge overall, and also gets left behind.
“Dewy Orange” is a light milky orange color, not at all my favorite. It adds too much brightness to the lips and does nothing for my skin tone. The color can be mixed and matched and made into an ombre lip with a red, but on its own, I would never wear it.
The lipstick is smooth enough but not buttery. The shimmer does not feel gritty, but it cannot be ignored. After staying for three or so hours, shimmer is left behind.
The color can be flattering for peaches and cream skin tone but not for warm skin tones. Try mixing it with some reds but otherwise, this can be given a pass.
Pros of Lakme 05 Dewy Orange Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:
- Good to mix with a red lipstick to create an ombre look.
- Golden case, attractive packaging.
- Smooth to apply.
Cons of Lakme 05 Dewy Orange Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color:
- Very milky orange.
- Shimmer is left behind on the lips.
- Very expensive.
- I wish it was buttery.
Would I Recommend/Repurchase Lakme 05 Dewy Orange Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color?
Not at all, try the reds from this range and nothing else.
