Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Crème Lipstick in Salmon State Review

I have been in search of a perfect n*de lipstick for a while now as I have got bored of colors, and wanted to mute my look a bit. My search ended with this lipstick from Lakme, which I also got at a good discount. 😀 Let’s see how it fared for me.

My Take on Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Crème Lipstick in Salmon State:

Packaging:  The packaging is spot on gorgeous. The rose gold tube looks so attractive. The tube is not only classy, but also sturdy and can be easily tossed into handbags without having to worry about the cap falling off. The bullet is flat, unlike the pointy ones. I do not find it a hassle to use. I just wish they were color coded because in a stash, they all look alike and it’s time consuming searching for a particular shade.

Shade:  Salmon State is a n*de with very slight peachy tones. The shade is just too perfect and does not wash me out at all, but I don’t think this would go well with dusky beauties. I can wear this alone or with eye makeup, and both ways, it looks good.  There is no chunky shimmer, like in Brick Lead that I have I reviewed earlier.

Texture and Pigmentation:  The texture of this lipstick is super smooth and it just glides like a breeze on the lips. Sometimes, I just apply this even without exfoliating my lips, and it doesn’t accentuate lines or dry flakes. It feels light on the lips and doesn’t get cakey when layered. However, this particular shade did not do much in hiding creases than Brick Lead, so it is disappointing on that part. It gives a supple finish, but I prefer matte. Pigmentation is not too great, just average or rather on the sheer side; I am into sheer lipsticks, so I do not mind.

Fragrance:  I love the sweet fragrance of this lipstick, it is definitely not bothersome and lingers for some time. It does not have any taste.

Staying Power:  Since this is a creamy lipstick, it transfers to cutlery.  Staying power is around 3 hours without any meals, after which it starts to fade away from the corners. This does not leave any stain or tint behind. This cannot be called moisturizing, but it did not dry out my lips. Although I could notice that whenever I wear a lipstick for a long time, my lips tend to look lifeless.

Winding it up, I am so glad to have found my perfect n*de lipstick 😀 I am going to try some from the matte range as well.

• This shade may not suit dusky beauties.
• Transfers!

Would I Repurchase Lakme 9 to 5 Crease-less Crème Lipstick in Salmon State?
I would surely recommend this to everyone who is into n*de shades, as this is a very pretty n*de. It goes really well with heavy eye makeup and also looks pretty on its own. This would be a good buy. I will be seen wearing this a lot now 😀
