Lakme 9 to 5 Pink Perfect Lipstick Review

Whenever I read reviews on IMBB I wonder how much information there is out there in this world which would not have been known had IMBB not been a platform to share it. I have seriously gained so much insight in stuff I had no idea even existed. It’s so much fun too. So today I am sharing my review with you on the Lakme 9 to 5 Lipstick in Pink Perfect. I think this one is my first ever pink lipstick. I wanted to try how pink would look on me and also I didn’t want to spend so much. So here comes Pink Perfect to my rescue.

My Experience with Lakme 9 to 5 Pink Perfect Lipstick:

The lipstick comes in a rose gold metallic cylinder. It is very smooth and may slip from the hands. I love rose gold and this one is very travel friendly.

Pink Perfect as the name suggests is a dark pink. Pink Perfect is a matte shade with shimmer particles. Although it looks much darker in the bullet it in fact is not in reality. When you see the pictures the shimmer particles are not very visible, but once you apply it then minute shimmer particles are visible on the lips. It has a creamy texture. Since this shade is matte I would suggest using a little lip balm before applying the lipstick. Not that it dries out your lips, but the application becomes much easier. When applied without lip balm I feel it tugs a little on the lips, but if lip balm is applied then it glides effortlessly.

Pink Perfect is much pigmented and the color transfers to its fullest in just one swipe. It does transfer easily on coffee mugs and spoons. The best part is that the intensity of the color can be built up with multiple swipes. The staying power is ok and it lasts for around 4-5 hours after which it starts fading away, but leaves a pink stain on the lips. Something that bothers me is that when it fades away the color goes down to a stain, but the shimmer particles seem to be more visible than they were when applied. Also if the lips are not well exfoliated then this lipstick looks a little patchy. It also settles into the fine lines of my lips.

Cons of Lakme 9 to 5 Pink Perfect Lipstick:

• Can tug if lips are not prepped for the same.
• Might look patchy on uneven lips.
• Shimmer particles could be off putting for some people.
• Can become dry after 5-6 hours if lips are not moisturized.

Would I recommend Lakme 9 to 5 Pink Perfect Lipstick?

I kind of have mixed feelings as I love the color and pigmentation, but not the residual shimmery look. I would suggest to try this shade first before buying it.

Would I repurchase Lakme 9 to 5 Pink Perfect Lipstick?

Yes I would as it’s a very pretty everyday pink which one can use for daily office wear.
