Lakme Absolute Gold Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow
Hello ladies…!!
I am the mid of my holidays and am a little bored. It is so cold outside that I just like to cosy up in my blanket. IMBB is my ultimate savior from boredom these days. I had bought a lot of eyeshadows sometimes back and the one I am going to review today is Gold Pearl from Lakme Absolute Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow range. I had already reviewed the Peach Pearl shade which was a complete disaster. Read on to know how this one fared.

My take on Lakme Absolute Gold Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow:
The eyeshadow comes in a black pan with a transparent plastic cap. The shade name and other details are written on back of the pan. I seriously wish that Lakme improves their packaging in terms of creativity. I am really bored of their basic packaging. There is no applicator provided with the eyeshadow.
As the name suggests it is a pretty gold shade. It doesn’t look too bright and is a little bit toned down. It looks more of a cream shade than gold. It is a perfect shade for warm Indian skin tones. The texture is too shimmery and it does require a base to settle down. It has the consistency of loose powder so using it wet is a safer option if you don’t want to create a mess. There is a bit of fallout in the pan as well as eyes. The shade is average pigmented. It is best suited when used as a highlighter. I usually use it to highlight the upper portion of eyelids and use a dark shade beneath it. It can also be used to highlight your brow bones.
It becomes a tad too difficult to get a good finish while applying this eyeshadow with a brush or sponge applicator. I tend to use my fingers to get that perfect look. As the pigmentation, the staying power is also pretty average. It stays on for 4-5 hours with an eye primer after which it starts to fades and creases start to appear. After 6-7 hours all you can see is only shimmer. There is no hint of color at all.
Pros of Lakme Absolute Gold Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow :
• Pretty cream shade.
• Best used as a highlighter.
• Would suit Indian skin tones.
• Easily available.
• You would love it if you like shimmer on your eyes.
• Can be used both wet and dry.
Cons of Lakme Absolute Gold Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow :
• Pigmentation is average.
• Staying power is not upto the mark.
• Has some fallout issues.
IMBB rating:
2.5/5
Would I recommend Lakme Absolute Gold Pearl Color Illusion Pearl Eyeshadow ?
It actually depends on you. If you like shimmer on your eyes and are looking for a good highlighter than this is a shade you should have but if you are sucker for matte eyes than this is a definitely no. It worked much better than the Peach Pearl shade but still Lakme needs to improve a lot in terms of quality.
