Lakme Absolute Mauve Fix Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick Review

Thanks to all the lovely awesome reviews on IMBB, I picked up the shade “Mauve Fix” from the newly-launched shades in Lakme Absolute. Quite happy and excited that Lakme has finally done something beyond glitters, shimmers and maroons. I liked so many shades at the counter, picked up this and one more. Hope to pick up a few more from the range.

My Experience with Lakme Absolute Mauve Fix Sculpt Studio Hi-Definition Matte Lipstick:

A lot has already been said about the packaging, I would not bore you repeating the same; my two cents regarding the packaging would be, a color-coded sticker at the base and matte body would have made this oh-so-perfect. Here you have to remember the shade name and the finish if you have more than one from this range in your stash. Not a huge con but why not look at the possibilities of betterment.

The texture is a complete LOVE. As much as I liked the new matte range of Faces, I am liking these as well. With the summers coming, the brands are definitely doing a great job with the mattes and the colors. Almost all the shades from this range was summer appropriate and kudos to Lakme for that. This is moisture matte as per my opinion and hence very comfortable on the lips. Also, it does not feel heavy or sticky on the lips. The lightweight formula would be like wear and forget.

The pigmentation is buildable, one swipe is good for regular wear, but if you want a longer stay, multiple swipes are required. These do not move from the lips and hence lip liner is totally optional. I love how smoothly it glides on the lips and gives a velvet matte finish to the lips.

This particular shade is named “Mauve Fix,” but there are evident plum tones.  It brightens my yellowish complexion in a jiffy and I can wear it both during day and night time. A very versatile shade and would suit lot of skin tones. It is not a funky summer shade, but it is gorgeous no doubt. Do give this a try for your special days at office or get-together.

The only complaint I have is that it transfers to cups/cutlery. It would not be a huge embarrassment if you are not at a huge formal party, so I am not bothered much, rest all is just super awesome!
