Hey girls,

Hope all of you are in the pink of your health. *pompom* I haven’t written anything for the blog after my Streax Face Wash review, blame it on my Engineering course.  Exams after exams and then my internship of a month in June. Anyway, now I am in the third year, awaiting results of the previous Semester. *haan ji* Today, I will be reviewing a shade from Enrich Satin range of Lakme.  I was on the hunt for a pink shade that would be perfect for college. So, I did a little bit of research here and there and zeroed in on this shade. Read on to find out how it fared in my opinion.

Price:

INR 230 for 4 gm.

My Experience with Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #160:

As I mentioned, I looked it up online on their site, it seemed to be a cute pink. So when I got a chance to visit a beauty store, I immediately went to the Lakme counter and asked the SA for a tester.  But unfortunately, they did not have one. *nababana* I remembered that the color was a beautiful pink, so without any further ado, I picked this one up along with some other essentials. Just out of the store and I tore of the plastic wrapping and looked at the shade, didn’t swatch it though, I liked it. Then back home, I swatched it and I was in for a shock. *cry* This lipstick is so frosty, I hate frosty lip colors, I prefer creamy ones. It washed me out completely. My lips looked that of a corpse! *waaa*

I was so sad about it. I mentally kicked myself for buying a shade like this, but on the website, it did not say it was a frosty one or not. Believe me, when you see the bullet, it does not even look like it’s frosty! So bummed about it. *spank* I will have to mix two lipsticks now to put this lipstick to use. *scared*

The texture also wasn’t smooth, it was a little grainy. I don’t know why, it isn’t that my lips are chapped! I take pretty good care of them. The application too isn’t smooth. It transfers so easily.  It takes over three to four swipes for it to be opaque. *spank* In the swatch, the shade seems to be a milky pink, but on the lips, it’s so much frosty!

Summing up the pros and cons:

Pros of Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #160:

• Nice fragrance, will be a con for sensitive noses as it lingers for a while.
• A bit hydrating.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Satin Lipstick #160:

• Frosty.
• Not at all suitable for Indian skin tones.
• Weird taste.
• Transfers easily, smudges easily.
• Takes multiple swipes to be opaque.
• Grainy texture.
• Staying power.

IMBB Rating:

I would give it 1/5, would not recommend it to anybody.  Nah never. *nonono*
