How have you all been? How is the week coming along? Mine has been pretty worked up. *jalwa* We have our graduation in a few days and we have been hopping into every shop to decide on a beautiful saree 😛 The idea of everyone wearing a similar saree for graduation gets pretty irritating for some reason. But we have no option and want the best for that day *happy dance* Hope that turns out to be a good day 😛 Just a few days back, I was telling you all about the weather in Bangalore being 40 degrees and how it was going out of control and stuff like that! I guess the “Rain Gods” heard my plea 😛 It’s raining!!!! *happy dance* Just what we wanted *jalwa*

Okay, now about the product I am going to review today- Lakme Enrich Satins lipstick 162. This is another addition to the Enrich Satins lipsticks and belongs to the Lakme Color Illusion range that was launched recently. Like the other one that I reviewed a few days back, I bought this one online too 😛 Let’s see how this one fared.

My experience with Lakme Enrich Satins Lipstick 162:

This is my second buy from this range. Lakme Color Illusion range has come up with beautiful shades and this is definitely one of them! *happy dance* Let us talk about the packaging first. It is just a purplish brown plastic case with the shade number written on the cap and below the bullet. The bullet is golden in color. On the whole, the packaging is quite boring.

Now about the color *happy dance* This is a pink shade with maroon undertones. It will look good on all skin tones. 😀 When I put this on, it brightens up my face instantly! I love the color! It’s a universal shade. 😀

Now the texture, it is very creamy and moisturizing. Your lips won’t go dry with this on. 😛 And no lip balm needed! Because of the buttery texture, chances are more of it breaking. So you’ll have to be extra careful with that *scared* About the coverage- I had to apply multiple swipes to get the exact color. Now that is a minus for me. *nababana* If you have pigmented lips, you may end up layering too much which might look cakey.

The lipstick has a slight clinical fragrance which I dislike. It’s the same fragrance with all Lakme Enrich Satins lipsticks, just that I don’t like the fragrance. 😛 When applied, it glides on like butter *happy dance* This shade can be worn on all occasions. Since I love everything pink, I was very happy with this purchase 😛 I have been using this for quite some time now and the staying power is okay. I apply 2 to 3 swipes of it and it stays for almost 2.5 hours without meals. With meals, it leaves a slight stain. You will have to reapply every 2.5 hours. These range of lipsticks don’t transfer much onto cups, glasses, clothes etc. On the whole, this is a shade you can try for it’s beautiful color.

• Moisturizing.
• A gorgeous shade that can brighten up your face.
• Creamy and buttery.
• Pocket friendly 😛
• Staying power is quite okay.

Cons of Lakme Enrich Satins Lipstick 162:

• Can break even with slight pressure.
• Fragrance is clinical which I dislike.
• Boring packaging.
• Coverage is not that great. Needs to be swiped multiple times for full coverage.

Will I repurchase Lakme Enrich Satins lipstick 162?

It’s a beautiful color but I won’t repurchase it again. I personally love lipsticks that stay for a longer duration. These lipsticks can be purchased just for the wide variety of colors they have.

Will I recommend Lakme Enrich Satins lipstick 162?

Yes, I would recommend it if you love such pinks with maroon undertones. I am sure this shade won’t disappoint you, it would compliment every skin tone *happy dance*
