I really wonder how two months just swooshed in no time, it seems like I was celebrating new years 2015 just yesterday. How time flies! 😀 Today’s review is a lippie that is my worst buy, let us find out why. I wonder if I sleep walked into the mall and bought this!

My Take on Lakme Enrich Satins Lipstick 269:

Packaging: I have seen Lakme has revamped their packaging for the Enrich Satins range, sadly this shade is from the old lot. The maroon-gold combination packaging that is extremely boring. Though boring, it is sturdy enough and travel-friendly.

Shade: I seriously do not know what this shade is! It looks like a subtle mauve from the bullet, but on lips it looks horrendous and ghastly. It is loaded with fine silver micro-shimmers that make the finish way too frosty for anybody’s liking. Well, I hate frosty lippies and they don’t suit me at all. This shade can be traced back to the 80’s or even long ago where actresses wore such ghastly shades and did not care how they looked!

Pigmentation: Average pigmentation, loaded with hell lotta shimmers; still goes smooth on lips. Goes opaque in two swipes.

Texture: The shimmers do not hinder the texture of the lipstick. I cannot say it is creamy, but it is not too hard either. It glides on lips even though not exfoliated. But, I noticed it accentuates fine lines. It does not bleed or feather, but transfers. Texture is quite light. Also, there are tiny bumps on the surface that is quite bothersome and hinders application.

Smell and taste: It smells horrid, some strange fragrance that I totally dislike. It also tastes awful!

Lasting power: It lasted for about two hours when I wore it at home (locked myself in my room!) without any snacking. After which it faded unevenly with shimmers all over. The shimmers are quite a mess to remove and look disgusting.

Overall this is a bad, bad lipstick! The tester looked like something else, I felt cheated! I was even offered a discount, and now I know why! I am longing to try the new range of Enrich Satins though as they are yet to be launched in my city. 😀

• Utterly boring packaging.

• Loaded with shimmers.
• Gives a garish frosty finish that won’t suit anyone!
• Fades unevenly and leaves behind shimmers.
• Lasting power is just average.
• Makes me look like I am suffering from an illness or I am a chain smoker!
• Fragrance is bothersome.
• Transfers into culinary.
• Accentuates fine lines.
