I am ready to show off the Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints that I had hauled on behalf of IMBB Team. An important update regarding the Fast and Fabulous range is that the price of the nail paint has been hiked from Rs. 175 to Rs. 199. Luckily, I had got a batch of nail paints that carried the old price tag
First and foremost, I am really angry with my short nails. I waited for them to grow up a bit and then had them shaped perfectly and within two days itself, my nails started to break away :(. I had to get artificial nails, but using them was such a big pain and it was nightmare removing them. Finally, I had to place an SOS call to my friend, Ranjini, who came to my rescue and offered her generous hand for the NOTD session, thank you Ranjini, I will remember to get you your Cadbury’s Chocolate within the 1500 calories range!
Moving on, I love love this range of Lakme and I cannot just pick one favourite as stated earlier. The staying power of this nail paint is pretty good, stays on around 2 days with minimal chipping. If you are someone who does a lot of house work, it won’t even last that much. Some shades in this range are very sheer and may need up to three coats for the color to show up, whereas there are opaque shades too which show up pretty well in one and two coats.
Coming to the unique brush, the brush is pretty wide and broad as you can see, but for me and my friend Ranjini, it is a bit of a con, because we have short and tiny finger nails and getting the paint at the edges was a bit difficult without getting messy.
The nail paint sets pretty quickly, I think 40 seconds is what it takes to set down and you can go through the second coat.
Features of Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints:
- Nail Color that gives a bright and dazzling shine to your nails.
- Wet to set in 40 seconds.
- Unique flat brush for one stroke application.
- This color will gives a bright and dazzling shine to your nails.
I would be covering all the nail paints in instalments and in this series, today, I will cover these shades:
- Night Desire.
- Fuschia Pink.
- Crimson Fire.
- Storm Green.
- Flaming Peach.
- Aqua Blast.
- Aqua Blaze.
Starting with Night Desire:
Night Desire is a jet black colour and its very opaque. Just one coat gives a lovely black gothic color and two coats will fix the black on the nail perfectly.
Here’s the NOTD on my nails:
Fuschia Pink is a perfect bright fuschia colour and it goes opaque in one coat. However, two coats are still necessary to attain the perfect fuschia.
There is no NOTD for Fuschia Pink :(
Here’s another opaque colour. Aqua Blast is a lovely blue shade and it is exactly the same shade as Lotus Herbals Deep Sea Nail Paint and Avon’s Misty Blue. Perfect for summer wear!
Crimson Fire is a bright bridal red colour. It is an opaque shade too.
Mint Green is in vogue right now. Grab this up because it gives beautiful mint nails. This goes on opaque.
This is an earthy peach subtle shade with no shimmer. It goes on opaque in two coats.
This is a lovely dark blue colour with lots of shimmer. This is actually a sheer nail paint and three coats are needed to get some colour on to the nails, but I love the colour, I do not know if you can get a dupe for such a lovely colour in any other brand. No NOTD for this nail paint.
So, that’s it for today. I will be back with the second instalment on Lakme Fast and Fabulous Nail Paints soon.
