Ask IMBB Gang

Divya Asks:

Could you please explain me the difference between LAKME Perfect Radiance Skin Lightening Foundation & LAKME Nine to Five Flawless Makeup. And is it good to use foundation daily .

Is it good to use foundation on daily basis ? Can you please suggest me a good foundation for an oil free skin.

  1. i havent used the former said but yes the 9-5 is not actually a flawless 1 as the name says… i finished up my bottle by mixing the foundation with moisturizer & rose water so that i can stop luking like pasted sumthing on my face kind of look. 😐 😐
i hav dry skin n it was okk in the oil control thing for me but cant say for oily skin types.. for ur skin types, i think try maybelline mousse foundation.. many here swear for tht :waytogo: :waytogo: ..
n i think a TM or foundation mixed in sum moisturizer is better to b used on a daily basis.. :haanji: :haanji: :haanji:

  2. divya, i have never used lakme foundations so i cant really compare. 😐 😐
but yaa, i wud rather suggest u maybelline as its products are decently priced too and
    work well…. :victory2: :victory2:

  3. I personally do not feel the need to use foundation daily…..a compact does the trick .If still u want to use foundation on daily basis, I would recommend a powder mineral foundation.
Don’t know abt the above lakme products

  4. maybelline powder finish foundation is good for oily skin and reasonable too :teddy: :teddy: sorry no idea for lakme foundation :shame: :shame:

  5. one definitely dosent need a foundation everyday..its heavy and plus its not great for the skin..thanks to the fantastic recommendations from this group here i now use a Tinted moisturizer (Ponds) or the 3-n-1 Lotus sunblock

    1. Aruna me too using 3 in 1 Lotus sunblock after reading IMBB only.. have to really thanks all the ppl over here :waytogo:

      @Divya – i never used Lakme foundation.. Sorry πŸ™

      1. ya seriously Shami..I coudnt thank these guys enuf. I dont overload my face with cosmetics every morn..an eyecream, concealer, tinted moisturizer or tinted sunblock, powder to set, eyeliner and a lipgloss..thats it..if i have a special lunch to go to, i add a light blush..and for evening its the same makeup with a slightly darker lipstick..i so totally enjoy this minimalistic look..

  6. i have never used any foundations at all and especially not lakme..i dont think wearing foundation everyday is a good idea..try using a tinted moisturizer instead or any foundation like bourjois healthy mix which has lot of natural ingredients..the less chemical on your face the better πŸ™‚
in foundation I have heard bourjois healthy mix is good, also loreal matte morphose also seems to be good or go for MAC powder foundation or any other mineral powder foundations..hope this helps πŸ™‚

  7. Why dont you try the daily souffle from Lakme…its water based foundation and great fro daily use…avoid the 9-5 one…it makes the face look patchy…u could try the invisible finish foundation by Lakme for special occasions.

    1. yeah Lakme Invisible foundation it is in my First shopping list place :star: :star: .. Am planning to try Invisble foundation for daily wear and flawless on occasion

  8. I have tried lakme invisible finish foundation and found it pretty good. It doesnt look heavy, blends well on the face and is cheap. The coverage is light to medium. You could try this one πŸ™‚ It is just a little orangy which I dont like 😐

  9. I too used lame invisible one n it is best suited i think they have indian tone foundation also this was recomnded by my derma so i picked it n found pretty fine :teddy: :teddy:

  10. i have used the lakhme 9to5 fondation..but i dont thinnk they will work for oily skin and their press bottle is a waste the product gets stuck in it and then u need to open it and use a brush to take out :spank: :spank: and plus it has those things in it that in flash pfotography make u look like a ghost :ghost: …instead use a sun block and use lakhme perfect radiance compact.they are superb..by just wearing them u will have a nice finish to the face and a sweet glow :preen: …. i swear by lakhme compact  ..and they are priced fab…. :happydance: :happydance: :happydance:

  11. Hey divya! Most of the lakme products, as per ma experience, doesnt suit oily skin.. It just makes our skin look more greasy and oily.. Lakme perfect radiance is good πŸ™‚ it does suit oily skin.. But it gives a shimmer, which is definitely not ideal for daily wear.. It looks like we have put chamkis all over the face πŸ˜€
try max factor foundation πŸ™‚ i am not able to remember its exact name.. I think it’ll cost 599 for a small bottle, and around 2000 for the big one.. It suits oily skin and also very light on skin which makes it ideal for daily wear πŸ™‚
    hope this helps :))

  12. Even i have oily skin πŸ™‚ and i agree with dollar.. Your daily cream and compact makes your skin glow all day long πŸ™‚ i use maybelline uv compact

  13. Divya…..I do have a problem with Lakme foundations….most of them look very unnatural…..actually, Lakme foundations never broke me into zits and I do have an oily skin, but they do not give matte look….so, I suggest, you try other options too….I would say try Oriflame’s dual core, but everyone will call me oripremi for it :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame: :shame:

  14. divya i’ve used both of them, 9 to 5 is quiet difficult to blend, it looks like a facepack if not blended properly, also i can’t find a shade matching my skin tone :smug: :smug: but it controls the oily skin for about 3-4 hours (i hv super oily skin :(( ) nd perfect radinace is wat i like more than 9 to 5 one, it gives a nice glow to my face :waytogo: , i always mix it with sum moisturiser nd then apply it (i do dis always with every foundation). and i would personally suggest u that not 2 wear foundation on daily basis :nonono: , not even tinted one, just apply loads of sunscreen and if wanted badly just dab sum loose powder with a brush
