Lakme Launches Perfect Radiance Foundation

Lakme Perfect Radiance Foundation

Price Rs 450 for 25 ml Lakme Perfect radiance Foundation (Note : There is a poll embedded at the end of the post, please vote .:) ) Lakme perfect radiance foundation are based on the concept of giving radiance and skin lightening. It comes in a pump bottle and has illuminating particles. I don’t think it’s a great choice for people with oily skin because these foundations would give a dewy look. The texture looked smooth but I think they are little over priced…

Lakme Perfect Foundation

The target audience is definitely women who want to look fair . The good part is that they are available in 6 shades. The shades are exactly the same as the shades in Lakme Invisible foundation.

Lakme Perfect Foundation Swatches

The SA said that you may either mix a drop of this foundation in your regular matte foundation to get a dewy look or use it directly. The key ingredients are Vitamin B 3, Brightening pearls and has SPF 11.

Lakme Foundation

The claim that 95% women agreed that this foundation added glow and made their face look fairer is based on the test they did on 204 women..

Perfect radiance Fooundation

What do you think?

As of now, I just liked the packaging.

  1. No…and not just because I have oily skin. I have learnt my lesson…I am never ever going to try any other foundation ever again other than ahem ahem πŸ˜›

    1. he he… you cannot come back to the Lakmes and maybellines after trying ahem ahem. πŸ˜›

None of the shade matches my skintone perfectly from the Lakme range. A skip for me as well…

      1. If it doesnt match ur skin tone…chances are I wouldnt find my match to, anyways lakme doesnt excite me…atleast not for base πŸ˜›

              1. No its not pink…but the one I have is from US so the shade difference…though it was a gift…the shade suits me perfectly….

  2. The packaging seems nice. Is that square thing at the bottom part of the packaging…for it to stand on? Didnt like that..but otherwise I like the bottle cos its compact and I love the pump dispensing method.

    1. Yes that square thing is part of the packaging. I also asked SA the same question. he he

Yes, the packaging is cute and they have used nice white and pink. πŸ™‚

  3. πŸ˜₯ πŸ˜₯ Its not Lakme though Rati…I keep trying so many other stuff from other brands..my fault. Its like if I find one thing perfect, I shouldn’t try to stick with it na. Nope..i see new stuff somewhere else immediately get it. I got this colour supplements na..Lush…oh goodness…i cannnnnnnnot crib enough about it. To think I was staying off buying stuff thinking i will save up for vitalumiere for winters…cos Bangalore gets superdry and vitalumiere would be perfect for then. Now my punishment, I have to finish everything before I even look at vitalumiere!

    1. You know Radhika, I don’t like to compromise on foundations atleast. I don’t think anyone should. The Vitalumiere powder is a dream… I don’t know know what could be better than that. It’s so beautiful. I am gonna purchase the refill for sure. I did a review. Did you happen to read it?

I think I’ll stay off the Lush colour supplements. Have got enough to last a few months. Also I think I have found my HGs in foundations SO I am gonna stick with them. Atleast try to. πŸ˜› We are such suckers for all new stuff around..I don’t know whom to blame- companies for bringing good stuff or us for being such curious women. he he

I am not even thinking for any punishments for myself. bought some stuff again today. :shy:

      1. Did I happen to read it?????? It was like someone from above was telling me…this is what you missed out because you went and bought that stupid Lush supplements – dont know what I was thinking really, though its more like a tinted moisturizer! Was typing up the review and had to go over it twice cos I thought I was being too rude. I was fuming fuming fuming…hehhehheeee…I liked your last sentence..no punishments… :rotfl:

          1. Lush Color Supplements went well for me. Since i mixed it with a bit of my Neutrogena sunscreen it went a bit oily but wasnt problematic in the color area. Its definitely more like tinted moisturiser and may be unfair to compare it with a foundation category, esp with giants like MAC and Chanel. (Ok, you may have noticed i am a Lush baby! but seriously :))
In fact I was about to review it – not exactly with all glories but definitely not negative.

            1. and oh, i think i “may” (mmm, guess its my mood when i see it rather) give this one – Lakme a shot. i have had my days with Lakme too.
But then again, i have far too many in my draw. Estee Lauder from quite sometime back wilting away, Shiseido and my newest Satin finish and a powder one from MAC. am trying hard to finish off my TBS All-in-one Face base too!
Punishment? apart from one moody day when i may pick the oldest and trash it, buying more is one πŸ˜€

              1. ok i didnt really mean to sound like i did above! cant see a delete option.

by the way what is the shelf life of liquid foundation? thx

                1. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: I can see how much love your foundations are getting form you. They must be cribbing bout “no love from Gaea” to each other. πŸ˜›

I think all of us have our days with Lakme. They are also a moody brand. πŸ˜› One plus- one fail kinds.

Liquid foundations generally have a life of one year but if they don’t lose their texture or don’t smell bad they can go upto 18 months after the packaging is opened.

            2. Oh I am a Lushie too…put a Lush label on it, and I will be landing up to buy it! I wouldn’t have compared Lush to Chanel or a MAC definitely, but they are kind of the bars that are set in good quality….and at 925 Rs its definitely not in the Maxfactor-Maybelline price bracket..and Maxfactor is definitely wayyyy better. Plus I don’t know any Lush India customer who won’t disagree with me on their generous sample policy.

              1. oopsie….correction

Plus I don’t know any Lush India customer who would disagree with me on their generous sample policy.

Never type on empty stomach πŸ˜›

              2. πŸ™‚ i was racking my brains on the double negation “wouldnt disagree” – Even MAC and Lush fades in front of timely food for me :p
What are samples?! πŸ˜‰ the best i could get was a freebie 100g Rock Star soap supposedly for teens (LOL!) after spending more than 5k! cant wait for them to open shop in Pune!

thx Rati on the foundation age response. may just go trash the Estee Lauder and make room for whatever-i-grab-next. one less cry!
.-= Gaea´s last blog ..Chambor Eye MakeUp Remover =-.

  4. i think it looks promising
will purchase for mom i think
but it should not be just a repeat of their earlier foundations
i am expecting some quality in that 25 ml for 450 rs

  5. the square thing looks like part of the packaging only it isn’t. weird! i clicked the wrong option in the poll. wanted to select “no”. i’ll put in some more money and buy a bourjois or a maxfactor. lakme just doesn’t impress me with their foundations. i’ll check it out at the counter though. looks very creamy and nice for dry skin.
.-= Rima Kaur´s last blog ..Beneath The Smiles =-.

    1. The texture is creamy. Initially I thought that the stand was just for the display purposes but it isn’t . That’s the part of the packaging. That’s what the SA said.

Don’t you find bourjois shades a little pinky?? But yeah, depends from person to person.

      1. i’ve never seen bourjois shades in person, just read reviews. their bronzing and illuminating powder that looks like chocolate has tempted me a lot. the bronzer has such a great shade and i have this feeling it will suit me really, really well. waiting to splurge again!
.-= Rima Kaur´s last blog ..Beneath The Smiles =-.

  6. i am a complete no no for foundations but still bought sooo many after saying no no and they are lying in my drawer waiting to get some love from me …..
i am although a pressed pdr person so def. would buy more of those…
m eyeing on clinique’s almost pdr but it is still not available in mumbai …
u have any idea if its there in delhi ???

    1. Rashmi, give me a day and I’ll check it out for you. πŸ™‚

I also don’t use foundation on regular basis but love to wear it during evenings or parties. My foundations get good amount of love from me. πŸ™‚

    1. πŸ˜› πŸ˜› πŸ˜›

To be honest HD, they “looked” nice texture wise. i didn’t like the invisible foundations too much.

  7. Rati, if possible can u list out few foundations which u feel would be best for combination skin?was planning to give a try by buying maxfactor liquid illusion but then the SA keeps on pushing the second skin which i dint like much when i tried out the sample.

  8. u no rati the last time i visited their store the SA introduced this to me. she added, this the perfect foundation lakme launched till d ate, will suit ur skin type bla bla ….
n guess what i did, i just giggled & thought i’ll decide aft i read it on IMBB.
    ISN’T THAT SMART OF ME… πŸ˜€

    1. he he…you know my age renew foundation from Max Factor is almost getting over and I wa s “going through all the reviews on max factor’s foundation on IMBB. πŸ˜› So now its like decide after you have read the review on IMBB” for me as well. Sounds funny at times but it’s so good na, we get to learn from each others experiences. πŸ™‚

      1. no rati it is nt at all funny….its very practical whatever i choosed aft reading at IMBB, nothing let me down till date.
wish u all d best for d job rati… :rose:

  9. None of the lakme foundations are suitable for oily skin no? correct me if i am wrong. I have used the souffle one and another one whose name i forgot now.. both are no nos for oily skin.

  10. Thnx for the link Rati, though infact i ve already covered 85-90% of the posts in your blog in the past few weeks including the ones you have mentioned in the link…and i chose to buy maxfactor liquid illusion after reading the post by Lavanya(if i remember correctly, sorry if it was by someone else ?:-) where it is mentioned tht it suits combination skin.I just wanted a quick list of good foundations for combination skin, if there are some better options in brands other than maxfactor.Age renew is good?guess it is on the oilier side:-(

    1. Age renew is a heavy foundation and wouldn’t suit people with oily skin. Revlon Colorstay has one for oily skin. MAC Studio Fix Fluid. A lot of people also rave about loreal liquid foundations but I have never tried them…

You may also check bourjois mousse foundation. I have a shade problem with bourjois but otherwise it’s good.

AMong drugstore I would have gone with either revlon or max factor.

High end, I generally find my shades with most brands but MAC’s foundations are my HGs. they suite my skintone as if they were especially made for me. πŸ˜›

  11. What is this SPF in-vitro study that Lakme does? Sounds suspicious to me. I think something else also was SPF in-vitro from Lakme, don’t remember though.

  12. Thnx a lot Rati, u are a real expert..nowadays your blog is my ready reckoner before i buy any makeup/skincare item…love u lots!!!!

  13. You know me by now, Rati. Just a plain curious pokenose. Even though I have oily skin, I went & bought shade no. 1 in this coz the SA told me it was oil-free. I have used it just once, I used MAC Blot Powder over it, maybe I would have to use it a few times more before I form a firm opinion. Now this would be my foundation number……..???????

    1. Sabrina even though it’s oil free doesn’t it look shiny on your face. I don’t think a lot of people with oily skin love the terms “dewy” and “shine”. πŸ™‚

Would love you know your thoughts about it in a few days. πŸ™‚

      1. You are right, Rati, but since it was something new, my curiosity got the better of me. I will try it out again and let you know what I think. I regularly use facial oil-blotters after every hour or two, and they are great for absorbing the oil without changing the colour of the make-up or wiping the make up off.

        1. I recently purchased the oil blotting sheets. I have a dry skin but this humidity makes my skin behave a little weird. those sheets are a blessing. I have a pack from Mary Kay. πŸ™‚

Will wait for your update. πŸ™‚

  14. I saw this and I loved the packaging but its TOO overpriced acc to Lakme’s standards πŸ˜›
I will first check out the reviews here in IMBB before giving in to my curiousness πŸ˜›
.-= Palak´s last blog ..Make up in monsoons =-.

    1. yeah, 450 is a high price for a Lakme products. The whitening thing might work in their favour in Indian market and price can go against them… But you never know. When have women cared much for a price when it comes to beauty…

      me 2. πŸ˜›

  15. Hi everyone! πŸ˜€ i am new!!!

You guys should try out the LAKME INVISIBLE FINISH foundation,
    it’s super awesome πŸ˜€

    Rati, i have sent you a mail . πŸ˜€
Hope i didn’t sound foolish in it πŸ™‚
