Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion with SPF 30

Hi IMBB Ladies and Girls,

Lakme Sun Expert Fairness UV Lotion with SPF 30

Many thanks for liking my earlier review. Today, I am reviewing the sunscreen lotion from Lakme.  I have a bit of an oily skin, especially in summers, so I chose the sunscreen meant for oily skin.  I picked this up from Carrefour, Delhi, the only wholesale mall in India.

SPF 30

Product Description:

It has a light feel expert solution specially formulated for oily skin to provide broad spectrum protection from UVA and UVB rays and helps you get fairer, glowing skin.

  • SPF 30 sheilds UVB rays that cause sunburns.
  • PA+ shields UVA rays that cause dart spots , premature ageing and skin darkening.
  • Mineral clay for superior oil control.
  • Cucumber and lemon grass extracts with skin lightening properties & Vitamin B3 help lighten the skin tone on regular use.

My Experience with Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion with SPF 30:

I was very excited to buy this sunscreen as I like Lakme and its products.  My problem is that whenever I apply sunscreen and go out, in a few seconds, my face starts to sweat.  When I apply this on my face, I feel greasiness and stickiness.  I was disappointed as it takes time to get absorbed into the skin.  It protects from sun damage, but I can’t bear it on my face during the hot days of Delhi. The formula is for oily skin, but it does not suit me. I also do not like its chemical smell too. It can be a good product for dry and normal skin. I will use this tube in winter.

Swatches

Pros of Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion with SPF 30:

  • An effective protective formula against the sun.
  • Effect lasts for about 3-4 hours.
  • Hygienic packaging.
  • Easily available at all pharmacies and grocery shops.
  • Decent pricing.

Cons of Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion with SPF 30:

  • I do not like the chemical smell.
  • Feels sticky and greasy on application.
  • Takes time to get absorbed into the skin.
  • Did not suit my oily skin.
  • Contains a lot of parabens.

Would I Repurchase Lakme Sun Expert Fairness + UV Lotion with SPF 30?

No, I will go back to my previous sunscreen lotion or will try another one as I want matte finish sunscreen for summers and more SPF value with more PA + + + protection.  The product is good but result can vary from one skin type to another.  Give it a try, maybe it will suit your skin as Lakme has a good range of sunscreens.

4/5.

Oh! sorry that it does not suit you. I also have a problem of sweating after applying sunscreen. That’s why I switched to Maybelline’s BB cream which is all in one. No need to apply sunscreen over it!
However, u can use this Lakme one for your arms & other exposed parts of your body. I use Lakme Sun expert cucumber & lemon grass one for my arms which works well

I have chosen oily variant and found it very sticky and greasy. If would have bought dry or normal skin variant don’t know what could happen???????? If your frnd or someone in family is using this, please first borrow little amount from them and try before purchasing.

Lakme sunscreens are a total let down :(
For oily skin, i found lotus sunscreen gel to be the best.. it gets absorbed fast, and is very cooling.. Thanks to IMBBians, i found my HG sunscreen in Lotus :D
