Lakme True Wear Nail Polish Review and Photos

I had bought a few Lakme True Wear nail polishes as part of the nail paint haul and I should say I am impressed with the range.  This “True Wear” range by Lakme has been around for a long time.  The SA at Shopper’s Stop had once told me that Lakme is now keeping only the best-selling shades from this range and pulling out the slow-moving ones, hmmm.  Most of the shades I found online and in stores are in the maroon, red, or “some shade of that sort” range though the Lakme website shows otherwise.  This range is very affordable.  Each nail polish is priced at Rs. 90 and they have been selling at this price for quite a long time.  Check out the photos to determine what type of shade you would sport 🙂

Price:

Rs. 90

Lakme True Wear Nail Polish

I bought the following shades:

  • Sabyasachi.
  • Red Allure.
  • Sparkling Wine.
  • Tarun Tahiliani.
  • 248.
  • Ruby Red.
  • Deep Blush Maroon.
  • Berry Wine.

These nail paints are not chip resistant and would chip within a day or day-and-half and if you are into house work and stuff, it comes off pretty easily, but that’s okay.

I am showing pics of 4 nail polishes in this post, the other 4 nail polishes in another post tomorrow 🙂

Sabyasachi:

This is a dark “I don’t know what color” shade that goes opaque in one coat.  This is not my type of color and I do not wear it on my nails often.

Red Allure

Red Allure is muted red color with an equal amount of gold shimmer in it, sort of metallic it is.

Sparkling Wine

Again, a dark shade with a bit of shimmer, not too obvious.

Tarun Tahiliani

Tarun Tahiliani is a beautiful deep lilac shade with mobile shimmer. It needs two coats to show up on the nail fully.

  1. I have few of these. The lasting power is fine considering the price but the range of colours is too sterotype and boring (too auntyjee type, if u know what I mean, haha 🙂 )

  4. hey jomol how are you doing.. even somehow i found the colours not that great. these days i am loving matte colours compared to the sheer types

    1. Hi Gurpreet…..after a long time….I am doing good…how have you been …….I am liking Colorama these days and the Maybelline Extreme ones…they are really good 🙂

  5. Sabyasachi is a nice color and it does not make your hands look dark !! Your hands looks pretty in all the pictures. Actually, there’s this shade which Molly Ringwald wears in The Breakfast Club, I’ve been trying to find a match for it but with no success, do you think I can get some help here?
