My Experience with Lansinoh HPA Lanolin Cream:

Lansinoh commits to provide safest and purest form of lanolin with no preservatives and chemicals and I can totally vouch for the same.  As I already mentioned lanolin is quite thick and sticky in nature and helps to lock in moisture and there cannot be any best and purest cream for us than natural lanolin to protect our skin and body from dryness and soreness.

This off-white cream seems slightly thick, but it is totally understandable since it locks in moisture for good 10-18 hours.  Simply soften up a drop of lanolin on fingers and apply directly on the affected area and it will take care of everything without causing any irritation.  I started using this cream after completing my second trimester and upon experiencing discomfort and soreness due to changes in my body and breasts and this cream really took care of all that burning sensation and pain. I used to apply it prior to taking bath and it helped me in easing and calming down the level of my pain. Even at bedtime, it worked as a soothing nighttime cream to give overnight relief from burning and sore skin around the breasts.

Apart from relieving my pregnancy blues, it also helped me in enjoying my first breastfeeding lessons. Being a newbie mother, we struggle a lot to learn proper latching because if the latching is not proper, it might cause mild/serious injuries to our breasts apart from causing discomfort to the baby while feeding as well. I noticed serious abrasions during trial and error latching sessions which always hindered my joy of feeding, but thanks to Lansinoh, it effectively treated my bruised skin within 8-10 hours and I did not experience any discomfort thereafter.  It is safe to use while feeding the baby, hence I used it 24×7 for initial months and because of this cream my breastfeeding sessions became a bliss and I still cherish that bonding with my daughter.  I also used to apply this cream prior to taking showers to protect the skin from hot water and external injuries. Needless to say, my motherhood joy is incomplete without mention of Lansinoh.  I still use this cream for my lips and baby care since it is totally safe on my baby’s skin, hence I use it as an alternative to treat dry and patchy skin.

It effectively treated my baby’s mild eczema and it also helps in calming down dryness of my baby’s skin apart from treating chapped and dry lips. Though it is too sticky and thick to use alone, we make a concoction of olive oil with lanolin for my daughter while I use a drop of argan oil with lanolin for my lips and elbows, it gives such smooth and soft skin. I highly recommend this lanolin to every newbie and expecting mom. I can understand your dilemma of entering a new phase in your life and I would say, do not worry, just keep in touch with your elders and always keep this lanolin with you and it will resolve all your worries, believe me.

This motherhood certainly increased my respect and gratitude for my mom for I am blessed to be a 21st century mom with the best possible amenities, best pregnancy care products and best care around me unlike our moms. Hats off to our moms!!

Mother’s milk is liquid gold for a kid, the best gift you would ever give to your child.  I would always support and recommend exclusive breastfeeding till 6 months thereafter supplementing with solid foods, that’s how I enjoyed my motherhood and happily weaned off at two years of age.  I would happily recommend this Lansinoh cream to every newbie and expecting mom and if I ever go for my second inning, this cream would be my first preference.
