My Experience with Laura Mercier Eyebrow Pencil Brunette
I got this full sized Laura Mercier Eyebrow pencil as a gift with purchase with a few other things that I bought from the brand. I looove a good brow pencil. Brow pencil is the only thing that I use on my brows. And the pencils that come with a spoolie attached at the end get such a big thumbs up from me. 😀
This brow pencil comes in 8 shades, which is amazing. There is one pencil for just every skin color / brow color/ hair color..whatever you want to co-ordinate your brow color with. 😀 I have it in a shade Brunette. It is a blackish brown color. If I had an option to pick color myself, I would have probably picked up a deep brown shade of the lot. Nevertheless, this is not a bad match as well because I have jet black eyebrows anyway and this color makes for a close match.
The pencil comes in this silver packaging. The one end has a pencil and the other end had a lovely spoolie. It is a sharpenable pencil so you can get a clean sharp edge to work with every time. I have also sharpened it a couple of times and the tip has never broken despite the weather being so hot here there days. It also comes with its own sharpener.
I really enjoy the texture of the pencil specially – it is neither too waxy nor too creamy. I also like that the color goes on softly so it looks very natural on the brows. Sometimes when brow pencils are too pigmented, they are really difficult to work with. You can apply too much if you are not careful. If they are too creamy, they tend to smudge. With brow pencils you need that little resistance in texture to mimic the natural look of the brow hair. If you see the swatch of it, you’d notice what I mean.
It does not smudge or fade even after 8-9 hours of wear. It is an absolutely fantastic pencil. I find myself restricted using the pencil because of the color. I only use it on days when I really want a very statement brow.
Otherwise, if I had a different shade I know this would have totally been my go to pencil. Definitley worth a go! I really appreciate that it lives up to every single claim that is mentioned.
