The Lazy Woman’s Guide to Looking Good

Not everyone is ok with a full face everyday. I find it extremely tiresome to do the foundation, powder, blush, eyes and lips thing every morning. I am super duper lazy, I wake up 30 min before I have to leave the house, it takes ten minutes to shower, 10 to get ready and the remaining 10 for emergencies like picking my outfit; breakfast is optional 
However I am a woman and looking good is my birthright, so I shall have it! Makeup existed long before there was foundation, concealer or an eye-lash curler. Damn right I can look good with only 10 minutes to spare…. so grab a wet towel, wipe that gunk off your face and lets get down the bare essentials of makeup.
1. The base
Blemish Prone skin/ women with dark circles: Dab concealer on the affected areas. Blend. Set with compact/ face powder of your choice.
Oily skin: Your compact is your GOD – do not part with it ! EVER !
Combination Skin: One swipe of that compact and you are done, carry it around for touch ups but no need for a panic attack if you leave home without it.
Dry skin: Tinted Moisturiser, or if you have awesomely even skin, a regular moisturizer works fine.
2. The eyes
Black/Brown Eye pencil and Kajal.
Mascara optional. (Don’t look at me in horror all you mascara-holics, this is a post for lazy women and lots of Indian women have perfectly awesome long dense lashes that do not require mascara. However this is a must for some women so I say optional).
Powder your eyes. Tightline or just line your upper eye lid. Kajal on the water line. Mascara optional.
Women with small eyes: Do either the upper or lower eyelid, doing both will make your eyes look smaller. Also begin to line the upper eyelid from 1/3 of the way, not from the inner corner, this will make your eyes look bigger.
Women with larger eyes, do whatever the hell the you want ! 
NOTE: If you want to spice this up, just use a nice colored eye pencil instead of black, just make sure you do not take too much time picking the color. Tired eyes can use white eye kohl instead of kajal to look awake.
3. Blush
One soft subtle swipe of your blush on each cheek.
Please avoid blush if your skin is naturally prone to redness or is abnormally red on that day for whatever reason.
The extremely lazy can skip this step.
4. Lipstick
You can play this in two ways.
a. Use a natural nude lip shade to play up your eyes, this is the boring behenji look or the I’m an extremely smart/busy woman with no time for tomfoolery look.
b. Have some fun, grab a sultry red, a popping pink, a lusty lilac or even a dazzling gold or maybe save the gold for a night out …. Errr no need to look like you came from an audition for Sheila Ki Jawaani ….
The extremely lazy can stick with tinted lipbalm. It looks decent enough
Note: Make sure the vibrant shade is either on your eye or your lips and NOT BOTH !

5. Hair
If you are being this lazy with make-up the least you can do is give your hair a good comb if not anything else. Don’t look so shocked, I lie on that extreme spectrum of laziness where I do not bother with brushing, combing or tying my hair at all, but my excuse is extremely manageable hair – what’s yours?
6. Spritz some Perfume
NO AMOUNT OF LAZYNESS ALLOWS FOR BODY ODOUR !
7. RUN !!!!
Chances you are probably late for work anyways as all that primping took longer than you anticipated

lol…i am extremely lazy women..wanting to get ready just 5 mins before i leave home….so i skip lot of the parts which a normal lazy woman does !!a mosituriser…compact…kajal+liner and lip balm…thats it…ofcourse the basics has to be followed…deo and hair..tada am done !!!

:rotfl: :rotfl: Haha!! i am just the same….i get up at 7.00 and i have to leave at 7.50 to skool..i spent until 7.20 checkin my mail and FB and all…and then go through bathing,dressing, and eating [sumtimes my mum force feeds me!! :-/ :-/ am not allowed to skip breakfast] and everything in the 30 mins left……
My regime is the same too…but i dont have to bother with hair as i wear the Hijab…makes my work easier…i just run a brush thru my hair,put it in a low ponytail or bun and pin my hijab,and that takes 1 min Max!
:-* :-* BTW..isnt that Naya Rivers lips?…as Santana singin science fiction/double feature in the rocky horror glee show??????! the lips in the original rocky horror picture show aint this pretty….. :-* :-*
P.S. .. i have tried out Dr frank-n- furter’s makeup one boring saturday afternoon!!!!Turned out “SENSATIONAL”!!!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

LOL you know in the origina, its actually TRANSEXUAL and they changed it to SENSATIONAL in the GLEE version …. You should totally do a tute for Frank-n Furter’s make up – that look is beyond insane exp with the fake eyebrows above your eyebrow thingy
And Im guessing those are Naya Riviera’s lips since as you said she did sing the song and I took the Glee ka picture.
And I am worse than u in the hair dept, I wash my hair like every morning so I just about towel dry and run out of the house –

i loved “Valerie” its coz i looove Santana..she is super Badass.!! and all d fighting seemed kinda refreshing as evrythings been all sunshine and rainbows lately……..i loved Kurt and Rachel’s version of happy days in “duets” that was AWESOME….i loved dont cry for me argentina too…i havent seen Evita though…gotta give it a try…i saw the promo for “A very Glee Christmas” too…..looks more of a fun episode…….. :yes: :yes: cant wait for Dec. 7th…and 7th is my birthday too…..so am supah supah excited!!!

Nice article, Janhavi, I fall in the ‘dont brush hair’ category too sometimes, I realised have’nt combed my hair only after I leave home coz its anyways in a messy bun

Only that I somehow manage to do with my foundation and mascara as well & instead of blush I prefer just highlighting if I have no time. As for my hair well I never leave it open unless I blow dry/straighten/curl them. It looks pathetic in is natural conditions I have no other option but to bun it like those old aunties

I find it too tedious to paint my face every morning
And I rub my eyes often, so mascara and eyeliner are only for evenings…
I usually put on foundation, fill in my brows, dab some lipstick and swipe some blush- not all to look pretty, but really to look presentable! Don’t want to scare people! :cyclops:

Janhavi you’re a life saver!! Superb article. so much fun to read. I am absolutely ZERO when it comes to make up. Even im tooo lazy to get all dolled up for work. I set an alarm for 5:00 am in the morning …. so that I finally wake up by 6:30(keep hitting the snooze button) :laugh: :laugh: . Many a times (well almost everyday) i just put on compact , kajal , and lip balm.
WOW you still wake up at 6:30 – I set alarms for 9:am and wake up at 1:00 in the afternoon :pain: :pain: :pain:
