Le Couvent des Minimes Moisturizing Hand Cream Review

Hi friends,

I can never have enough of hand creams. “More is always less” happens to be the rule of thumb as per my super dry skin. Hence while strolling in Ulta, I threw in a couple of hand creams into my cart. Well the other truth is, the smell of Le Couvent Des Minimes Moisturizing Hand Cream Rose and Berries was so intoxicating that I just could not get enough of it. Floral fragrances are my obsession and the hand cream had the aroma of freshly-cut rose bouquet!! It would have been a blasphemy on my part to not pick it up 😛

My Experience with Le Couvent des Minimes Moisturizing Hand Cream:

The cream is lightweight and gets easily absorbed into the skin. It provides decent moisturization to my dry skin. The best part is that once I apply the cream, it does not make my hands greasy. I can immediately start using papers or type on keyboard without leaving an oily impression. Hence I find this hand cream very useful to keep at my office desk.

The fragrance is the star attraction of the hand cream. If you like floral fragrances and especially roses, then this is the hand cream for you. The Damascena rose extract makes the hand cream smell divine. It is not an overwhelming fragrance and after an hour the fragrance lingers very mildly on the skin. The hand cream’s sweet fragrance makes it very appealing. It also mentions about containing berries. However, I can barely smell any fruity or berry fragrance.

The hand cream contains moisturizing agents like Shea butter, Grapefruit peel oil, coconut oil and sunflower seed oil. The sad part is that the hand cream is not able to provide the kind of hydration my dry skin needs. For an hour, my hands feel moisturized, but after that, I have to reapply the hand cream again. Apart from that, I really like this hand cream a lot. I had never heard of Le Couvent earlier, but I am really glad I found out about this France-based company.

Would I Repurchase Le Couvent des Minimes Moisturizing Hand Cream?

Yes, I would buy this product.  So what if it is not super moisturizing for my hand. I might not use it very frequently, but a hand cream with fragrance of “Queen of flowers” would surely find a place in my vanity case.
