L’eau de Kenzo Amour EDT Review

L’eau de Kenzo Amour

HEY Girls!

I am reviewing this perfume today; it was a very random buy on my search for something that smells like Arden Beauty. I usually test a perfume before purchasing, but this I bought on an impulse; the smell is an almost replica of Arden Beauty and the bottle is so pretty! I soon realized, once again in my life, that never judge a book, the perfume in this case, by its cover; read beautiful bottle!!!
The claim: It’s a journey of love. Infused with flowers and sunlight. Slow, luminous and sensuous, like a faraway land/elsewhere

My experience with L’eau de Kenzo Amour:

it is one of the most fresh, rather, refreshing smell I have come across! It does smell mostly like Arden Beauty, that fresh, green smell with flowers. L’eau de kenzo amour is, however, a zesty form of Arden beauty with the notes of bergamot, bitter orange and tea. The initial hour from spritzing the perfume smells very green and flowery, but the zest comes in after. It is a very summery fragrance. The scent is as fresh as the morning air in the countryside. Imagine a cool summer morning in a country cottage surrounded by orchards and gardens and the stagnant, mixed smell of fruits and flowers and green leaves. That’s it. That’s what it smells like! The perfume is ideal for a morning occasion. A picnic, a meet, blah blah. A day when you want to relax in the countryside! Yes?

The fragrance is very light and so, is the projection. You have to smell near to where you spritz it to get a whiff of it and thus it goes unnoticed by others, lest they are spaced close, like when hugging. The sillage is a 1.5 out of five.

The longevity of the perfume is also a very mediocre, but then again, it is in l’eau format which is usually a light form of the real essence of the perfume. It lasts only about 3 hours on me and then I can’t smell it. I purchased it on a whim without checking out on these important key points and I am a little disappointed in myself for not having done so.

However, every time I see the bottle on my counter, I feel a little less guilty because of the bottle’s beauty. It is something, right? IT IS, IT IS, IT IS. Don’t make me feel guilty, PLEASE! The soft, yet distinct curves of the bottle, the transparency turning a dark fuchsia to magenta and finally black and then the reverse of that to the end of the bottle is a beautiful sight.  The cap takes time to fit at the right curve, but is effective otherwise. The atomizer is very smooth and sprays quit a lot at a go, but for some reason it will still take time for the volume of liquid to down to, even, half.

Pros of L’eau de Kenzo Amour

1. The smell is fresh and refreshes as well.
2. The bottle is a piece of art. A beauty.
3. The atomizer is smooth.
4. The atomizer spritz’ a big amount.
5. The volume of liquid lasts an eternity.

Cons of L’eau de Kenzo Amour:

1. The fragrance does not last long.
2. The sillage is very poor.

The product rating drops because of the poor performance of two very important factors as mentioned in my cons. a poor three out of five.

Will I purchase L’eau de Kenzo Amour again? No, but I will keep the bottle with me till death! Till death do us apart!!!!
