My Experience with LipIce Sparky Orange Glam Shade of Gloss:

Let’s begin with the packaging of the lip-gloss. The lip-gloss comes housed in a cardboard packaging. This packaging has the ingredients list and other necessary details about the product. This is a dual ended lip-gloss that consists of two different shades. The lip-gloss tube is a dual ended clear plastic tube that contains two shades of lip-glosses, each at its one end. The shade name is mentioned at the base of each end on a simple white sticker. The middle part of the lip-gloss is pearly white in color and looks flimsy. This part has the brand name embossed on it with gold fonts. This middle part has two applicators on each of its sides for both the lip-glosses. The applicator is a regular doe foot type and has an average quality. The applicator picks very little amount at a time. So, I need to dip again and again to apply the gloss all over my lips. Overall, the packaging is fine and leak proof but it is not any fancy or luxurious.

Now, let’s talk about the shades. This lip-gloss is named “Sparky Orange”. It has two shades namely Gorgeous Orange and Soft Orange. The shades are quite different and are easily differentiable. One shade looks deeper while the other is too sheer. The shade “Gorgeous Orange” is a sheer coral-orange lip-gloss with micro shimmers in it. These shimmers are subtle and are not much noticeable on the lips and just add a luminescent effect to the lips. The shade is surely very pretty when swatched on the hand but the color looks too sheer on the lips. Being very poorly pigmented in nature, it does not hide pigmented lips and the color is difficult to build up. It gives a sheer wash of color to the lips. The shimmers in the gloss are subtle and do not look chunky. Hence, it becomes more wearable.

The second shade is “Soft Orange” that looks almost like a clear glittery lip-gloss. This shade also has golden shimmers in it, that are comparatively larger than those in the previous shade. These shimmers look a little chunky on the lips. I am now no more a fan of such clear glittery glosses. The shimmers are very much noticeable on the lips. This shade is named as soft orange but it almost looks like a clear gloss and does not even have a hint of orange.

The lip-gloss has a funny candy like fragrance that might be bothering for some as it is quite strong and stays for long. But, I like how it smells actually! The lip-gloss does not have any taste. The gloss sets to a nice glossy sheen, that looks nice and natural on the lips.

The texture of the lip-gloss is nice and smooth. It is creamy and glides all over the lips without any dragging. The formula is lightweight and feels comfortable on the lips. It does not have that thick or waxy feel. It does not feel sticky on the lips. This lip-gloss is nice and moisturizing. I have dry lips and my lips stay moisturized and nourished for long after applying this lip-gloss. It provides some sort of hydration to my lips. The lip-gloss has the tendency to transfer a lot like most of the lip-glosses. It does not bleed or smudge much but the outer lip line looks a little messy at the end of the day.

The lip-gloss stays for some 3 hours or so on my lips with a little fading and it loses its shine with time. The lip-glosses do not survive even light meals and fades away completely leaving the shimmers behind. These are a little difficult to remove and look ugly on the lips. Hence, it requires reapplication after meals.
