L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser Review

Hi Beauties,

Good skin starts with a healthy nutrition and a good skin care routine. I have been trying out some new products for my skin care since the past few months. I have normal to dry skin, and was using Caudalie Instant Foaming Cleanser till recently. After that, I was in search of something gentle, but effective. I have been using the L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser (not to be confused with the Cleansing Foam).

L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser

Product Description:
The Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser is a soap-free, non-drying facial cleanser that takes care of the skin every day. Its creamy texture transforms into a rich foam that effectively removes impurities and makeup, revealing fresh skin and a luminous complexion. It combines Immortelle essential oil to help smooth the skin, and Bellis Perennis brightening extract to even out skin tone and illuminate the complexion. Fresh and perfectly cleansed, the skin feels soft and comfortable. The complexion looks even and luminous, with a radiant, youthful glow.  L’Occitane’s Immortelle Brightening skin care line provides beauty benefits from the Mediterranean “flowers of light,” Immortelle and BellisPerennis (Daisy). Immortelle is a flower with exceptional longevity: it never fades, even after it has been picked. Its essential oil is rich in active molecules with unique anti-aging results. Bellisperennis, better known as the daisy, yields a brightening extract that helps maintain an even skin tone.

My Experience with L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Foaming Cleanser:

The cleanser comes in a white and blue recycled paper box packaging. All details are written on it – in Braille as well; which I find extremely endearing. Inside, the cleanser comes in a white and blue tube, with a blue screw cap. Overall, a decent packaging from the outside.

Inside the tube, there is the cleanser – pearly white in color, which flows. Yeah, it actually flows. You do not need to press the tube at all. You just tilt the tube and the cleanser flows out.  That way, I feel that the tube is not an actually good container for this. It should actually have been a bottle packaging for this type of liquid-y cleanser. Apart from this liquid-y consistency in a tube packaging, I feel almost everything about this cleanser is great. It has a mild floral fragrance (I actually do not know what Immortelle flowers are and what they smell like; if they at all exist).

A very small amount is needed for the entire face and neck area. I find it good enough to work up into a rich lather using my hands, as well as with my Clarisonic. The cleanser is soap free, yet it removes around 95% of my makeup in one go. It does falter a bit with waterproof mascara and stuff; but then, I find that most cleansers fail with the waterproof type makeup. Since it is soap free, it does not dry out the skin at all. It rinses off easily as well, but it does sting the eyes, so better keep them tightly shut. My skin feels very fresh and invigorated, as well as soft and supple and clean, post using of this foaming type cleanser.
