As I was searching my shelf, I just got my hands on this really cute lip balm by L’Occitane. I had got it long time back when it was just launched. I had used quite a bit of it, and now I am reusing this one. I kind of have mixed reviews about this one. So, read ahead to know everything about this product.
Product Description:
Enriched with 5% shea butter, this creamy balm helps to nourish and protect lips, while enveloping them with a sweet and captivating fragrance, reminiscent of a vanilla flower.
Price:
INR 690 for 12 ml
Packaging:
Ain’t the packaging just so cute? Doesn’t it looks so cute lying in vanity? Oh yes! It does. I love the bright yellow color of the tube. The product comes out through a nozzle and there is this plastic applicator to apply the product directly. I feel it’s travel friendly, owing to its screw on cap.
My Experience with L’Occitane Shea Butter Vanilla Bouquet Lip Balm:
The thing which caught my attention and made me buy is that it is enriched with 5% Shea butter. Shea butter, being the most important ingredient in a lip balm, helps nourish and protect the skin. Hence this lips balm nourishes your lips while protecting from environmental damage. This ingredient helps to prevent moisture loss and to maintain optimum hydration.
Also it is quite easy to use as you just don’t have to dab in the fingers and then apply. It comes out really hygienic and is travel- friendly at the same time. The consistency is medium and the color is absolutely transparent with a very glossy look to it. It spreads easily on the lips and gives a glossy effect to the lips. But, mind you, it’s not a tinted lip balm.
This has a slight fragrance to it which I quite look. Obviously it doesn’t stay on for long, but it doesn’t bother me either. All in all, it’s a decent product which nourishes the lips and adds a tinge of flavour too. It isn’t one of those highly nourishing lip balms, but does a fair job. But, the staying power is too low; it gets vanished after 2-3 hours. Also, I wish it were more nourishing.
Pros of L’Occitane Shea Butter Vanilla Bouquet Lip Balm:

• Gives a glossy effect
Cons of L’Occitane Shea Butter Vanilla Bouquet Lip Balm:

• Slips off after 2-3 hours max
• Could have been more nourishing
IMBB Rating:
3.5/5
Would I Repurchase L’Occitane Shea Butter Vanilla Bouquet Lip Balm?
Not really as it is too expensive for a lip balm.
Would I Recommend L’Occitane Shea Butter Vanilla Bouquet Lip Balm?
I would recommend it only to those who are willing to spend that much on a lip balm. As it is just like other lip balms, like Vaseline tubes. It does a decent job though.
