L’Occitane Shea Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream Review

Hand creams have become an important part of my life. My hands tend to become very dry even if I am out for two hours. This time, I tried this one by L’Occitane and it turned out to be really good.

Highly concentrated in shea butter (20%), Shea Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream helps to protect, nourish and soften the hands. It leaves behind a sweet and captivating scent reminiscent of a vanilla flower.

My Experience with L’Occitane Shea Vanilla Bouquet Hand Cream:

The packaging is excellent for a hand cream, like all of the other variants. The tube is in a beautiful shade of yellow with a black cap. A very travel-friendly and sturdy packaging. The opening is perfect; just the right amount of cream comes out and the tube gives us the control over product. But, if you accidentally squeeze out extra product, deal with it! All the necessary details about the product are also on the packaging. So a mess-free and no non-sense kind of packaging.

I absolutely love the fragrance of this cream. As the name suggests, it is a beautiful vanilla fragrance. But, this is not your typical vanilla scent; this one is floral yet warm. It is very soothing and lingers for upto an hour. The mild version of the fragrance is still there if I sniff my hands closely after 4-5 hours.

The texture is also very good – very creamy and spreads well. It gets absorbed within a few seconds of gentle massage. It is very light and I anyway do not have sweaty hands, so it does not feel greasy. I think this one is a good option for sweaty hands too. I have used this cream in Delhi winters and now in summers and I find it apt for both the seasons. It kept my hands moisturised and cured dryness during winters. Now, on hot days, it still keeps my hands moisturised without making my skin greasy or sticky.

It protects my hands from dryness and roughness. It also has nourished my hands, and the skin on my hands has improved with regular usage. My hands remain soft and moisturised for around 5 hours, after which they just remain soft, but not very moisturised. You will like it even if you happen to have severely dry hands, but give it some time to show results; of course it can’t transform your hands with just 2-3 uses.

Overall I love this cream for the way it smells and for its performance. It does everything it claims and I would not mind repurchasing it despite its high price.
