Today, I am here with the review of the newly launched shades in the Caresse range of lipsticks, though their price has increased with some other quality enhancements too. Let’s continue with the review.

Price: I got it for INR 699, but the price was discounted after INR 999 which is the original price.

Packaging: The packaging is really worth the price and up to L’Oreal’s standard. It comes encased in sleek rectangular golden colored, lightweight body, with a color-coded band around the cap. The cap shuts with a click ensuring the cap is closed tightly. There is a color coded sticker at the bottom too which has the shade name. I found the packaging very chic & girly. It’s very lightweight yet gives the look of a classy packaging.

My Take on L’Oreal Color Caresse by Color Riche Lipstick- Blushing Sequin

Shade: ‘Blushing sequin’ is a mildly blue toned deep bubblegum pink shade, with very minuscule fuchsia pink shimmers in it, which can be seen in the bullet only. For me this kind of shade is really pretty and unique. It is really a flattering shade for almost every skin tone, everyone can carry this kind of pink; it’ll not wash you put , an everyday wearable shade. I am really happy with the shades L’Oreal has launched this time. The shade “Rose Tafetta” is really awesome too.

Texture & Pigmentation: The texture is almost like the Caresse ones which were a  little less glossy & little more pigmented than these. Definitely the color is not matte; it’s shimmery and very glossy. The texture is really creamy and buttery smooth, it applies smoothly and easily on lips, the texture will make you to layer the lipstick on and on. It feels so light weight on lips, like wearing no lipstick. Even lip balms turn  little waxy and heavy, but this smooth glossy lipstick doesn’t give the feel of having a lip color. This really moisturizing and completely suitable for dry lips, it doesn’t emphasize dry and flaky lips, but yes don’t expect it to work wonders or as a treatment for your lips, like some tinted balms do.

The lipstick has sheer pigmentation, which is buildable depending on shade, but the shade “blushing sequin” is really low on pigmentation, though the lipstick are sheer but you would 3-4 swipes to get a tleast a good amount of color on lips. I wouldn’t recommend this lipstick for pigmented lips, only pink and slightly pigmented lipsticks can go for it.
Staying Power: For the light weight and feathery texture of lipstick, I really didn’t expect much from it, but it stays put on me for 2-3 hrs, though the glossiness does go off within an hour but leaves behind a subtle tint of color behind it. It does transfer, but doesn’t bleed.

Pros of L’Oreal Color Caresse by Color Riche Lipstick – Blushing Sequin

• A very nice and pretty shade of pink.
• Can be wrorn every day, and will suit every skin tone.
• Formula is really very glossy and light weight.
• Texture is very buttery smooth.
• Glides like a butter on lips, no tugging.
• If you like sheer lipsticks these are the best option.
• Staying power is good too; love the subtle tint of color it leaves behind it.
• Packaging is really classy, light weighted and sturdy.

Cons of L’Oreal Color Caresse by Color Riche Lipstick – Blushing Sequin

• Not for pigmented lips.
• Availability in India.
• Pigmentation of this shade, you’ll need atleast 3-4 swipes to get a lipstick-like  color on lips.
• Price in India, 699 is okay but INR 999 is too much.

Recommendation: You can really buy at least one of these in your kitty. If you a sheer lipstick lover like me then surely grab one, the glossiness is really awesome, more than a gloss (I love my glosses to me pigmented and lipstick to be sheer LOL). I’ll definitely suggest this shade and range to everyone. I’ll really try my hands on the other shades.
