I have been doing a lipstick haul for quite sometime to find the perfect shade of pink and I still haven’t found the perfect one! But all said and done, I really can’t get enough of L’Oreal lipsticks for more than one reason and today I am going to review L’Oreal Colour Riche lipstick in the shade ‘Miss Magenta’.

Packaging :

Lipsticks from L’Oreal have a very classy packaging. I love their gold packaging and it locks with a click which seems nice to me. The bullet is very pretty in appearance with ‘L’OREAL’ etched on it. Its sturdy, yet can slip into one’s purse easily which has helped it earn brownie points from me, as I always carry the colour I am wearing.

My Take On L’Oreal Color Riche Lipstick – Miss Magenta :

The problem with this lipstick is it doesn’t live up to its name. I thought it to be a magenta lipstick but it turned out to be more of a candy pink. But if you don’t have any particular shade preference and like pink shades this one is for you. The color on the bullet and the color that comes out on lips after two to three swipes is exactly the same. The pigment content is not very high, you need about two applications to really have any noticeable color on your lips.

It has a rich creamy texture and glides through your lips, leaving it soft and supple.The lipstick passes to anything whatsoever and the staying power is not impressive at all. However it is good if you want to keep your lips moisturized. It is more like a lip balm due to its creamy texture and has a tendency of mildly settling into fine lines on lips, which is very unlike L’Oreal lipsticks, even those from this very range and hence this will not be suitable for those with chapped lips, for it might show things we want to hide.

It runs super easy on lips and perfectly hydrates them giving a tinge of color which is very suitable for everyday wear. It doesn’t go well with warmer skin-tones or those with yellow undertones but will definitely compliment those with a pinkish flush.It is a very cute color all together, but nothing close to magenta as the name suggests. But it is definitely good for those who like lighter shades with pop color hues.

• Doesn’t stay on for long hours.
• Pigment content is quite on the lower side.
• Shade name is misleading.

It is a decent buy, though I do not see myself repurchasing it, because I guess it will run for a long time, as I am more into darker shades.
