I recently picked up 5 shades from the L’Oréal Color Riche Collection Exclusive. I have already reviewed the shades “Julianne’s Red,” “Eva’s Red,” and “Liya’s Red.” Today, I am reviewing the shade “Zoe’s Red.” Read on to find out more.

Apply starting in the center of your upper lip. Work from the center to outer edges of your lips, following the contour of your mouth. Then glide across the entire bottom lip.
My Experience with L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds – Zoe’s Red:
Packaging: This lipstick comes in a very beautiful black matte case with gold accents. It has the celebrity’s signature on it in gold. The packaging has a velvety feel to it which is quite luxurious. The cap shuts with a click lock and hence is travel friendly as there is no danger of the cap coming off loose. One con of the velvet case is that it attracts dust.
Shade/Pigmentation: Zoe’s Red is a deep rich berry wine shade. It is a shade which will look really good on warm skin tones. It is totally a fall/winter shade and you will surely love this shade if deep vampy shades are your thing. But, such a dark shade might not be everyone’s favorite.
The lipstick does swipe opaque in a single go, but I still swipe it 2-3 times to get an even finished look.
Texture/Finish/Staying Power: I found the texture of this lipstick quite different from the other lipsticks that I won from this range. It is slightly hard and drags as I apply, but it is nothing too bad. Once applies, it feels quite light on the lips and is very comfortable to wear.
The finish of this lipstick is semi-matte with a velvet like finish– it is not the dry flat finish that some of the matte lipsticks have.
It does not dry out the lips and feels quite moisturizing; however, this shade has major issues with feathering. You absolutely need a lip liner to avoid that. Also, it highlights dry patches on the lips and hence exfoliating is required before you apply.
The lipstick has the typical vanilla-like fragrance which most L’Oréal lipsticks have. I personally do not mind it at all but some of you might.
The staying power of the lipstick is pretty good and it lasts for about 5-6 hours with light meals. However, since it is not completely matte, it does transfer a lot. It leaves behind a pretty reddish stain on the lips.
Pros of L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds – Zoe’s Red:
- Deep vamp-y berry red shade.
- Nice pigmentation.
- Beautiful semi-matte finish.
- Does not dry out the lips.
- Decent staying power – around 5-6 hours.
- Classy packaging.
Cons of L’Oreal Colour Riche Collection Exclusive Pure Reds – Zoe’s Red:
- Slightly tugs during application.
- Lip liner is recommended as it tends to feather.
- Transfers a lot.
- This particular shade might not suit all.
- Strong fragrance (though I personally like it).
- Velvet case attracts dust.

This is a shade which will not be a universal favorite, hence go for it if you like deep vampy shades. I will not repurchase exact same shade; I already have few other shades from this range.
