L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire Mat – Guillmet Fuchsia Review

A few days ago, I had reviewed the shade “Versailles Tangerine,” from this range. Well, I couldn’t stop obsessing over it, so I splurged on another shade from this range. There goes my allowance! :-/ Seriously, worth every penny! Let’s head straight to the review 🙂

Color riche L’extraordinare mat is made with an extraordinary blend of precious matte oils that lend a sublime velvet lip quality in multi-dimensional rich vivid color that’s never flat.  Lips stay hydrated, soft, and supple and enjoy all-day comfort.  A lightweight texture and rich matte finish with a long-lasting effect.

My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire Mat – Guillmet Fuchsia:

Packaging: There is a slight color change with the outer packaging; more towards rose gold when compared to the gloss ones. I really love how it gives a luxurious feel even though it is plastic. There is a little window which shows the color. The applicator is good, not great. I have gotten used to it, but it may feel tricky in the beginning.

Shade: “Guillmet Fuchsia” is a bright fuchsia without any cool or neon hints. The color is so beautiful and it will suit most skin tones. It is not way too bright to overpower nor too dull either. It is that shade which instantly brightens up the face.

Texture and Pigmentation:  The texture is really, really lovely. It is smooth and soft. It gives that matte feel once it sets completely. It is also extremely lightweight. The pigmentation is also very nice. It gives complete coverage in two swipes. Compared to Versaillies Tangerine, this one is bit glossier than the former. It is more of a creamy matte. If you want to minimize the shine, then blotting it with a tissue without smudging the color.

Staying Power:  It lasts for a good 5 hours with light snacking. I cannot say it is transfer-proof, but it doesn’t transfer a lot; negligible. It starts to fade from the corners after meals. It also leaves behind a pretty pink stain once it fades.  I have been trying to find flaws with this, haven’t had any luck yet! 😀

• Very good pigmentation.
• Stays for up to 5 hours.
• Non-drying formula.
• Survives light meals.
• Leaves behind a pretty pink orange stain.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire Mat – Guillmet Fuchsia:

• Transfers.
• Pricey.

Would I Recommend/Repurchase L’Oreal Paris Color Riche L’Extraordinaire Mat – Guillmet Fuchsia?
I am going crazy over these lip colors and I highly recommend it to all. Even though it may feel pricey, I think it is worthy of it. I’ll definitely explore some other shades in the range.
