L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Pearl Perfect Day Cream SPF 15

Hello IMBB Sweeties! :pompom:

You all made my birthday so special for me. Am so happy that I came across this site and you all have become really important in my life in such a short span of time. :puchhi:

So, this is my second review from ‘L’Oreal Paris Pearl Perfect re-lightening whitening’ range. The entire range comprises of:

>L’Oreal Paris Pearl Perfect re-lightening whitening Day Cream SPF 15
>L’Oreal Paris Pearl Perfect re-lightening whitening Night Cream
>L’Oreal Paris Pearl Perfect re-lightening whitening facial foam
>L’Oreal Paris Pearl Perfect re-lightening whitening Scrub
I don’t have the face wash or the scrub which I might buy soon. So here is my take on the day cream:

Price- Rs 249 for 18 gm, Rs 499 for 50 gms. I have the small jar of 18 gm.

My Experience:

For the first time when I opened the jar, its fragrance caught my attention! Its fragrance is almost similar to that of the Fevicol. I was wondering if it would stick to my face in similar way as well. Thank god nothing as such happened. It has creamy consistency and it gets absorbed easily without making my skin greasy and it gives the same tingling sensation as that of night cream but after few minutes it sort of eases out. I felt after applying it, it sort of pronounced the appearance of pores on my skin for 1-2 hours and then the appearance of pores got diminished automatically to a great extent imparting smooth and soft skin :)) I can’t explain the reason behind it though. ?:) It gives a nice glow on my face which lasts all day long!! :yahoo: Am really impressed with the glowing look that this entire range imparts, it’s the best part of this range  It contains SPF 15, so I stepped out in the sun without using any sunblock or sunscreen, just this cream on my face to test the efficacy of the product in providing sun protection. I would say, it imparts pretty decent sun protection and you can skip your sunscreen during monsoon and winter seasons. I won’t recommend you to use it alone during summer though.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Pearl Perfect Day Cream SPF 15:

-It imparts a luminous glow on my face that lasts entire day. :yahoo:
-It acts as a pretty good sunscreen too. :jiggy1:
-It contains SPF 15 and thus is not just a normal fairness cream.
-Its creamy consistency gets absorbed into the skin without leaving any greasiness behind.
-Leaves no white cast on face unlike other fairness range of creams.
-Makes my skin appear more youthful. :preen:
-Evens out my complexion.
-Did not break me out even once.
-Formulated with patented Meroxyl-SX that acts as a UV filter.
-After few hours of application, appearance of pores reduces.
-My skin is soft and feels smooth too.
-I don’t need to reapply once more.
-Reduces dark spots and light blemishes.
-Also available in travel pack of 18 gms, thus one can spend on a smaller jar and check if this product works or not.
-Available at all cosmetic stores.
-All sort of information are given in the pack.
-Packaging is too attractive. :woot:
-Its travel friendly too.

Cons of L’Oreal Paris Dermo-Expertise Pearl Perfect Day Cream SPF 15:

-The quantity you get for Rs 249 is very less, you just get 18 Gms of the product and for Rs 499 you get 50 Gms. :hunterwali:
-The packaging is quite bulky.
-Contains Parabens. :pan:
-Gives a tingling sensation after applying.
-It pronounces pores just after applying which is sorted out after 1-2 hours.
-Pretty pricy for the quantity you get.
-The amount you get will get over within one month I think. (Talking about the 18 gm small jar that I bought)
-This won’t be a suitable sunscreen during summer as it contains only SPF 15. :nababana:
-Horrible fragrance almost similar to fevicol. :yuck:
-The jar is made up of glass so if it slips from your hands then total product wastage. I know I shouldn’t have mentioned it in the con section but I lost my Lotus microemulsion bottle in same way. It was a painful experience. :((
-Doesn’t solve the problem of hyperpigmentation. I won’t say it changes my skin color entirely and makes me fairer. It sort of just imparts a luminous long lasting glow and evens out my complexion.
Rating: 3.5 out of 5
Will I repurchase? Not yet sure. I am still in two minds about this product.

  1. Hiya Taps! Methinks you should get the scrub and use it along, even if you skip the foam, coz as far as i know, scrubs help a lot in reducing pigmentation and bad skin stuffs, u know..so it might actually work better along with the 2 u’re already using!

      1. Taps that Biotique one will take a long time to finish!! I am finally nearing completion after god knows how many months!! Its A LOT of quantity!!

  2. thanks sooo much for the review taps…i was waiting for a review coz i was eyeing this for soooo loonnngg… :yahoo: :yahoo: grt review…i ll buy it today itself…itz exactly how i wanted it to be… :happydance: :happydance:

  3. Mom has it..she used it once and hated it so bad,its been lying as it is along with the box . She was thinking to give it to our maid 😐

    1. Ohh bad that she didnt like it, as you said she used just once and then left, i think thats may be because of fevicol fragrance and the last comment you said, I wanna say one thing, and that is ‘ Badde log baddi baddi baatein’

    1. Ya that would be good, but if you have dry skin and you use it in winter, its not very moisturising , if oily skin then ok!

  4. no.. i’m also not much impressed with this 1 after reading ur detailed review tapas… wud try sum other cream though as my lakme 1 will b over soon..

  5. Ive used both this and the lotus one…the loreal one really didnt suit me at all…on the other hand the lotus microemulsion is a good buy 🙂

  6. I went to repurchase the Lotus micro -emulsion today, saw this but the night cream ws out of stock..after a lot of confusion I decided to pick up the micro-emulsion only since its worked so well for me!
Thanks fr reviewing..maybe will pick this up next time! 🙂 🙂

  7. Nice review. I like the sound of this cream but I’m not sure I want to ditch my faithful Olay White range for the promise of something better. :struggle: And I think they make glass bottles for pricey stuff on purpose – so that butter fingers break them easily and the big corporate house benefits with extra sales. :pissedoff: Hmph!

  8. I recently purchased this day cream along with icy moisture fresh with SPF 30. I suppose it will take time for any product to show it’s effect. So let’s c
