My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Eternally Nude Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain:

Packaging: The L’Oreal Paris Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain comes in a golden colour tube with a transparent section just at the opening end of the tube. The cap is a screw on one to which the tear drop shaped applicator is attached. You’ll find the shade name and number at the top of the cap. The applicator is excellent to perfectly shape the lips with the gloss, no matter what’s the shape of the lips.

The applicator has a cavity that makes sure that sufficient amount of product is taken out; it also keeps some product with it so that there is no need of dipping the applicator several times into the tube.

Shade: Eternally Nude is a caramel or rusty kind of a nude color with no visible chunky shimmers in it. The color leans more towards orange or rusty color than brown or pink or beige. It’s an apt nude shade for Indian skin tones and will suit all the different Indian skin tones nicely. It’s a perfect shade to wear to offices and colleges.

Texture, Finish and Pigmentation: The texture of the stain cum gloss is creamy, but not sticky; it has watery/wet consistency to it like a stain. The consistency of the stain is water based like a stain and it has that creaminess, like a gloss to it.

The formula is gel based and feels very hydrating on lips, an apt stain for intensely dry lips. It glides effortlessly on lips and feels like melted butter on lips.The gloss sets on the lips and it does not feel heavy. But, you can feel it on your lips. The gloss doesn’t emphasize flaws of lips either.

As the name suggests, ‘Wet Shine’, the gloss gives that wet, glossy finish on lips which lasts as long as the stain stays on your lips. The wet and shiny finish stays there even when the gloss loses a bit of its color.

As per the shade name, it’s supposed to be a nude shade, but I find the shade to be more pigmented than the others. The pigmentation is awesome. It mutes the natural color of my lips in just 1 swipe, you can layer it on further to increase the opacity. The gloss won’t bleed or turn patchy upon layering, but make sure you apply the second coat only after a few minutes.

Staying Power: The glossy, creamy layer of the stain stays prominently for 3.5-4 hours with mild snacking and drinking. But, overall the stain gives me a wearing time of 5-6+ hours. The stain mildly fades with eating heavy or oily foods, but the color doesn’t transfer easily. Only the glossy layer gets transferred and not the color. As I don’t have super dry lips I felt continuous hydration while wearing the stain, even after the glossy layer fades away.

• Survives light food and is pretty much transfer and water proof.
• Staying power is pretty good (4-5 hours).
• This shade doesn’t prominently stain the lips.
• Packaging looks very classy and is travel friendly.

Would I Recommend L’Oreal Paris Eternally Nude Colour Caresse Wet Shine Stain?

Yes. I already have recommended these stains to everyone in my earlier reviews. But, this one isn’t as sheer as others which makes it suitable even for severely pigmented lips. Despite being a neutral color it covers flaws of lips very well in single swipe. For the price these turned out to be one of the best glosses cum stains
