My Experience with L’Oreal Paris Glossy Balm – Pink Me Up 240:

Packaging:

The L’Oreal glossy balm comes in the form of a jumbo lip pencil format which can be twisted up. I like that this product comes in a sealed package. That way, I can be sure that it is brand new and no one has “tested” this in the store! The pencil does not require any sharpening and also gives more precision during application. The color of the tube is the same color as the lip balm, which makes it easier to spot it among your other jumbo pencils. The tube has a silver cap which fits snugly.

Color:

“Pink me Up” is a really pretty fuchsia pink shade. Depending upon your need, you can apply it sheer or layer it on to get a more intense color on your lips.

Pigmentation:

“Pink me Up” is another better pigmented color in this range. Though it looks very sheer with just one swipe, you can easily add a couple of layers and build it up to an almost opaque finish which works well even for pigmented lips.

Smell:

This lip balm is scent-free and good for people with a sensitive nose. There is a mild scent of crayons if you smell this product closely!

Texture:

The texture of this lip balm is like the Maybelline Color Whisper lipsticks, which has a gel-like texture. It glides easily on the lips, feels slick, but is not greasy or uncomfortable. It is quite lightweight on the lips and also quite moisturizing. My lips do not dry out when I wear this. Even if you layer it on, it does not feel heavy or look patchy.

Finish:

This particular shade looks quite glossy, as the name suggests. But the initial glossiness lasts for a couple of hours, after which it fades to a sheen. Due to the nature of this shade, it does not highlight any dry patches on the lips, if any.

Longevity:

Lasts for over 4 hours without eating. It does transfer but does not wear off completely after a drink/snack. But you will have to reapply after a meal. It fades evenly and it does not stain the lips.

Pros of L’Oreal Paris Glossy Balm – Pink Me Up 240:

  • Pretty fuchsia pink shade suitable for a variety of skin tones.
  • Glossy finish with a high shine.
  • Can be worn sheer or layered on to an almost opaque finish.
  • Easy to use packaging with no sharpening needed.
  • Can define lips with precision.
  • Feels very lightweight and comfortable on the lips.
  • Moisturizes and prevents lips from drying.
  • Does not look patchy when layered.
  • Does not highlight dry patches on lips.
  • Good lasting power.
  • Scent free.
