Hairstyling is not my cup of tea but recently when I spotted this gel for strong hold I wanted to give this a try….read on to know how it fared for me.

My Experience with Loreal Paris Studio Gel’O Natural Effect Strong Hold:

The gel comes in a plastic bottle which is very sturdy and has all the details on the body. The dispenser is unlike the flip-tops or pump style. You need to pull up the top to give way to the gel. The quantity dispensed can be controlled depending on the pressure applies, hence you do not end up in using more.

The texture of the gel is more watery than regular gel based products. I have not used any other holding products before so I would not dare compare the holding ability. I do not style my hair much but since I started using it, my unruly hair started staying in place.

The good thing about this is, it does not make hair crunchy or dry. It just holds the style in place without looking or feeling made up. I like the natural finish it gives to the hair. Also I tried this on Mr Husband and now this belongs to him; so you know it worked on his hair as well. I would rather say it works better for men.

There is a mild scent which lingers for a while before vanishing. Also I would say the holding power depends on the kind of atmosphere you hair is exposed to. If you have the habit of running fingers through your hair pretty often, you will definitely lose out on the staying power of the hold.
