Price: $3.99 this one is matte and my sis got it from abroad. This one is apparently a dupe for MAC Wedge and Kid.
Now this is probably the most unique shadow in my collection. This is almost like a darker compact powder but since this is a single and it is from a brand I have lot of respect for- L’Oreal, I quite love it. This was a gift from my sis, who manages to bring a lot of L’Oreal goodies from Australia somehow.I love them and this one was so lovingly used, you can see the imprint “matte” has vanished too, but this is so versatile I do not feel like throwing it off.
The eyeshadow comes with a single simple small applicator, the applicator sponge wore off soon, so had to throw it off.You can make do with any applicator. The texture of the eyeshadow is very soft, you will not find it gritty or chalky or any kind of powder flying. I am quite happy with the texture. Our regular compacts also feel similar to this shadow.I find this shadow nice and soft. The packaging is also quite compact to be carried along, though few drops and presses have cracked the lid a little.
Now coming to the pigmentation, there is quite a lot, it is difficult to judge with this kind of color.Still I feel the beige comes through nicely. Now you would think what is the use of a shadow like this.If you are very pale, this could actually work for the whole lid, like a very nice neutral shadow. For Indian skin tones , this can be used like a corrective shadow. This is the main reason I have used it so much. You can actually use it as last step, in the crease to clear any weird application or to simply make the creasework neat. This really matches skin tone. Like many of us use a compact to clean any faulty shadow application, this works the same way.
Since this is matte, I can see it look neat on the eyes for around 3-4 hours, with primer it will work better.Matte shadows would absorb oil off oily eyelids, so this works to just set any nude shadow, or to simply press it on the lids, to mattify, it will not add any color to the lid, but just a neat look rather than pigmented oily lids. The best use of this one like I said is to clean any mistakes and to use this as a transition color.Pale skin can use it like a shadow too. I am very happy in fact this kind of shade is a must-have.I am looking for similar shadows now.
