L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in Rich Raisin Review

For a really long time, I had been looking for a brow pencil that suits the color of my eyebrows perfectly and does not look too over the top. After trying on a couple of pencils/gels that just did not do it for me, I stumbled upon an eye pencil that gave me the results I always wanted. This review will be of the L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in the shade “Rich Raisin.” Read on to know more about it.

My Experience with L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in Rich Raisin:

Packaging:  It comes in a sleek pen packaging, it is long and slender in shape. The bottom is brown and the cap is a lighter shade of brown. The name of the shade i.e. Rich Raisin is mentioned at the very bottom of the pencil. It is a retractable eye liner and is very mess-free.

Shade:  Like the name suggests, Rich Raisin is a deep raisin brown color. It matches my warm skin tone perfectly and does not make my eyebrows look overdone. Even though this is an eye liner and I have even swatched it on my eye as an eyeliner only, I mostly use it on my eyebrows. It is very easy to use and gives the perfect shape I want. It does not contain any shimmer in it, yet when applied on the eyelids, it gives a slightly glossy finish. I like it, overall.

Texture and Pigmentation:  The texture of the eye pencil is very soft. It applies onto the eyelids very smoothly without any tugging or pulling. The application is never flaky or streaky. It does not irritate my eyes like most eye pencils do. Though I haven’t really worn it on my lower waterline yet, I think it would be perfect for that too on days when I just want to define my eyes but not go too overboard with a black kohl. I love the creamy formula, it is perfect for my sensitive eyes. It is smudge proof and once applied on my brows, it does not budge for however long I wear it, ultimately, I have to either wash it off with water or take it off with a makeup remover. When worn on the eye lids, this eyeliner stays on for 6+ hours without much fading or smudging and on the eyebrows, like I mentioned, it stays until I remove it.

Pros of L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in Rich Raisin:

• It is quite affordable considering it is a multi-use product.
• It is a very versatile eyeliner. I can use it on my eyelids, on my lower waterline, as a lip liner, but I mostly just use it as an eye brow pencil because it is close to perfection and I haven’t come across any other eye brow pencil that gives me the results quite like this one.
• It is a very muted and understated shade of brown that will suit all Indian skin tones.
• It is smudge proof.
• Long wear time.
• It has a very creamy texture.
• Decent pigmentation,
• No wastage of product, it is retractable.
• Glides on to the eyes very smoothly without tugging.

Cons of L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in Rich Raisin:

• Other than stores that sell imported cosmetics in India, I don’t think it is available anywhere.
• Price may be an issue for some.
• People who feel that retractable eye liners are unhygienic, can skip it.

Would I Repurchase/Recommend L’Oreal Pencil Perfect Automatic Eyeliner in Rich Raisin?

I will definitely repurchase it and I do recommend it.
