L’Oreal Planta Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Sensitive Scalp Review

Today’s review is about L’Oreal Planta Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo. L’Oreal has released a new range of hair care products called Planta Clear. There are four different kind of shampoos in this range; the one I’m reviewing today is meant for sensitive scalp. Surprisingly, there is no conditioner in this range. Let’s get started with the review now.

My Experience with L’Oreal Planta Clear Anti-Dandruff Shampoo Sensitive Scalp:

The packaging is like that of any other L’Oreal shampoo. It comes in a plastic container with a flap lid. The color of the packaging is dark glossy green and looks very catchy. The lid opens and closes easily. The packaging is very sturdy as well. The amount of product discharged can be easily controlled. The product is travel-safe.

The consistency of the product is pretty thick. It feels like a body cream to me. The shampoo is white in color and has a lavender fragrance. The shampoo contains lavender essential oil, hence the fragrance. I love lavender fragrance and it feels very summery. The fragrance does last even a few hours, though. It’s perfect for summer months.

Since the consistency is pretty thick, I use a big walnut sized amount for my shoulder length hair. I apply it on my wet hair and scalp; massaging the product on the scalp creates enough lather. It is easy to wash off, too. I have a feeling that silicone-free shampoos don’t produce as much lather as others. It’s just my feeling, not sure if it’s really the case.

My scalp and hair feel clean after use. My hair feels soft, shiny and bouncy. I normally wash my hair twice a week. After 2 days of wash, my hair weighs down and looks flat. I have also got my hair straightened recently, but with this shampoo, my hair weighs down after three days and not two. So, I can postpone my hair wash by a day or two. The fact that it’s silicone-free is a big plus. The usage of this product hasn’t caused any kind of itchiness and it hasn’t increased hair loss.

I have a sensitive scalp and I feel the product is very mild. But coming to the dandruff part, it’s not very effective when it comes to getting rid of it. When I wash my hair, I see that dandruff all gone; but after a day, it starts to reappear. Overall, it’s a good shampoo for cleaning normal hair and scalp but it cannot treat or prevent dandruff.
