In this review, I bring to you my very first lip gloss that I ever bought. I bought it around two years ago and I’m really impressed by it since it is still in the same condition as it was back when I bought it. It the L’Oreal Ruby Carat Glam Shine Diamante Lip Gloss . Product price: I picked it up at Thailand Duty free two years ago and I don’t remember its price. But I checked online and found out that these are available for $10.95.
My experience with L’Oreal Ruby Carat Glam Shine Diamante:
Packaging: L’Oreal glam shine lip gloss in the shade Ruby Carat comes in a cute packaging. it is tiny and compact. It has a metallic brush handle. The sticker at the bottom denotes the shade name. the brush applicator that comes with it is what really impressed me when I bought it. it is a heart shaped wand which makes that application easy and precise.
Shade: Ruby Carat is a beautiful coral brown lip gloss which has minute shimmer particles in it. what I really like about this shade is that it perfectly hides the pigmentation on my lips and in fact, it appears to be a MLBB lip gloss shade on my lips as this compliments my skin tone as well as my natural lips’ color really well. I wear this lip gloss when I want a subtle no-makeup look. It looks very natural on my skin tone. Although it does contain shimmer particles, these shimmer particles are not really visible unless you’re looking very closely and that too under broad sunlight. All in all, it is a really nice lip gloss shade for every day wear.
Texture, pigmentation and longevity: This lip gloss has a smooth texture and it glides onto the lips effortlessly. It does not feel sticky on the lips and in fact it gives a soothing sensation. It does not make the lips feel heavy either. It is a nicely pigmented lip gloss. I need about two swipes of it to get the shade as it appears in the tube. It makes my lips look slightly fuller too and supple as well. It is not a very eye catching lip gloss but it is just perfect for every day wear. It easily lasts on me for around 4 hours which is great staying time for a drugstore lip gloss. And even after it has faded, it leaves a stain behind and looks as though I am wearing a sheer lipstick.
Pros of L’Oreal Ruby Carat Glam Shine Diamante Lip Gloss:
• Even though I don’t remember its price, I can say that it is value for money as it is from one of the most trusted brands there are and it is a very good quality lip gloss.
• It has a decent pigmentation. Two swipes is all I need.
• It is a great every day wear lip gloss.
• Does not feel sticky or greasy on the lips
• Hides the pigmentation on lips perfectly.
• I really like its heart shaped wand.
• Smooth in texture. It does not accentuate fine lines on lips.
Cons of L’Oreal Ruby Carat Glam Shine Diamante Lip Gloss:
• It is not available in India.
Will I repurchase/ do I recommend L’Oreal Ruby Carat Glam Shine Diamante Lip Gloss?
I will definitely repurchase this lip gloss if I spot it again because what’s the harm in stocking up some favorites. I recommend it to everyone who has not tried any Glam Shine lip glosses by L’Oreal.
