My Experience with L’Oreal Serie Expert Vitamino Color Masque:

Well, I have premature grey hair and it’s been greying since I was in school! Am I unlucky!! I used to have silky, soft, dark brown hair before, but like I said, it started greying since I was in my early teens. I have been coloring my hair since quite a long time now. Although I use L’oreal hair color which is of good quality, I still have dry hair and it was the result of regular coloring.  More so, during working hours, the constant blow of  air conditioner, dust and pollution while commuting had made it horrible. So, when my hair had become all frizzy and unmanageable, I was suggested this product by two different people, my colleague (who has colored, shiny, and lustrous locks) and the local beauty parlour lady from whom I get my hair colored. Well, I had to get it as soon as possible.

Hair Masque

Its a very nice product I must say. Light fluffy gel, has a mild scent of berries which is not at all overpowering. The scent does not linger for long on hair after wash, which is fine with me. I use it like a conditioner after shampooing my hair because my colleague used it the same way. I apply about a coin-sized dollop and massage it on hair after shampooing and leave it for about a minute before rinsing off. Just give it a minute and voila!! I do not towel dry my hair after shampoo as mentioned in directions for use, I use it like a conditioner instead. So, yes it did make my hair soft and manageable and it also gave it some volume which was much needed :) I have been using this mask since about 8-10 months now and I am happy with the results. I plan to use this until I find something better and cheaper of course! :P

Hair Mask

Pros of L’Oreal Serie Expert Vitamino Color Masque:

  • Smells of berries which is pleasantly mild.
  • Vitamin E and UV filter for hair protection.
  • Lives up to its claims, makes colored hair soft and manageable.
  • Gives a nice sheen to hair which makes the colored tresses stand out.
  • Adds volume.
  • Controls frizz.
  • Just 1 minute on hair is enough unlike other conditioners.

Cons of L’Oreal Serie Expert Vitamino Color Masque:

  • Oh boy, this is expensive :(
  • Loads of chemicals.
  • Tub packaging which is not travel friendly, I have to transfer some product into another small case when I am travelling.
  • Have to keep digging fingers into it.
  • Availability. (It’s available with L’Oreal Enrich and some other high-end salons and at shops where they keep imported products).
  • Can weigh your hair down if used in excess.

Would I Recommend L’Oreal Serie Expert Vitamino Color Masque?

Yes, for girls who love to color their locks, you might wanna try this once and see it for yourselves!

I have used this hair masque no doubt its good, but somehow i cant bear the smell (might be its problem with me only). Not only on colored hairs it works wonder for Henna colored hair too (i use henna). I was recommended for this product by many. i totally agree with Vrushali for its pros and cons.

Nice review you covered all the points.

Hi everyone,
I recently bought this product after reading much about it here and on other websites as well. The thing is after first two washes my hair were absolutely wow but the last time i had used given i shampooed my hair with pure resource loreal shampoo, it became rather sticky and had a powder like substance on hair. Plz help, i cant understand how to use it the correct way.
