My Experience with L’Oreal True Match Lumi Powder Glow Illuminator – Golden:

Packaging: The blush comes in a sleek square compact case with curved edges. The edges of the case are a muted gold which looks quite classy. The case has a see-through lid and you can see the shades within. The product itself comes in 4 shades placed inside a metallic pan. Beneath the pan case lies hidden a little flat brush. I did not like the brush as its bristles felt quite harsh on the skin. I have never used these tiny brushes which come with the products and I guess I will not be making an exception with this product either.

There is also a small mirror provided in the case which is handy for touch-ups if you are travelling with the product.

Color/ Texture/Lasting Power:  I picked up the illuminator in the shade “Golden,” which contains a golden, light bronze, light pearly pink and peach shades. You could use the shades individually or all swirled together.

The shades are decently pigmented, but I would have preferred for the product to be a bit creamier. The product feels smooth to touch and applies well on the face, but it can get a bit chalky if not blended well. Also, it has a tendency of settling in fine lines.

And now for the finish 0 I was expecting the illuminator to impart a nice radiant glow to my face which it does, but it also leaves behind visible glitter particles. Now, this might not be a problem for some of you, but I personally don’t like glitter on my face. Also, the glitter shifts all over the face as time passes.  L’Oreal has mentioned on the packaging that this product could be used to illuminate all over. I don’t see how someone can do that without looking like a walking-talking disco-ball and illuminating the whole room 😛

The staying power is not very impressive either. It lasts about 2-3 hours before fading and transferring some visible glitter all over the face.

To summarize, if you like glitter in your highlighter, you might like it, but otherwise, you can give this one a pass. And for a drugstore brand, it does not come very cheap either at around 13 dollars.
