L’Oreal has a whole line of “Voluminous” mascaras and there are some 10 odd mascaras with a slight change in detail and functionality. Today, I am reviewing the waterproof version from this range. Read on for more details:

My Take on L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara:
I have had my eyes on this mascara for a while and finally bought it as part of my recent Ulta haul. Everyone talks about the “non-waterproof” version, but I don’t care much for non-waterproof makeup, hence I bought the one which can deal with sweat and occasional watering of eyes.
Packaging: Cylindrical golden tube with a golden cap to hold the wand. The tube is generous in length and girth; good amount of product for money paid. The brush is neither too big nor too small – just the right size. The bristles appear a little spooky because they are needle like and appear rather sharp – like they might poke my eyes, but fortunately, that did not happen.
The wand does not pick up excessive product and has no goop at the end of the bristles, so one need not wipe it against the tube’s opening to remove extra product. I found that it gives a better result when the wand is placed at the beginning of the lid and rotated upwards rather than just the plain sweeping motion.
Texture: It’s not very liquid-y or wet, but is rather dry; however, it does not create clumpy lashes and hence has perfect consistency.
Pigmentation: One coat gives an instant lift to the eyelashes, but to add more volume and drama, I have to go over with multiple swipes; however, I have used other mascaras in the past, which gives better volume and falsie-like appearance. The mascara in this post, gives an obvious length to lashes, but not so much density.
Wear Time: It wears well for an entire day and has no fallout whatsoever. The other lengthening and volumnizing mascaras that I have used tend to have fallout, some more than other, but not this one. Also, it does not clump my lashes or leave a grimy residue behind which is a bit off putting.
Pros of L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara:

- Provides length to the lashes in a couple of swipes.
- Has no fall out and does not crumble at the end of the day.
- Dries easily.
- Adds a good curl to the lashes.
- Sweat proof and waterproof.
- Leaves no mascara goop or residue behind.
- Easily available both in US and India.
Cons of L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara:
- Does not as much volume as I desire from a mascara.
Would I Repurchase L’Oreal Voluminous Million Lashes Waterproof Mascara?
Not this particular mascara from this range, but would try out other versions from the “Voluminous” range. I recommend it to those who seek length over volume in mascara or can use this mascara and then layer it with a voluminizing macara.
