If you are searching for a good brush cleanser, then this might be the one for you! Recently, I found out that an online store was carrying Lottie London. I like Lottie London’s brushes, so I thought of giving this one a try and it was worth it.

My Experience with Lottie London Soap Star Brush Cleanser:

Generally brush cleansers come in liquid form, but this is a solid soap bar. It’s perfect for travelling since it comes in a compact round container. This bar dries down quickly and cleans brushes very well. It’s infused with coconut oil and shea butter to prevent brush bristles from drying out. Also, it’s 100% vegan. This soap bar comes in a round white plastic container. At the bottom of the bar, they have provided a sponge which is kind of rough with mesh finish. This sponge stops the bar from slipping around while in use.

To use this brush cleanser, you have to wet your makeup brushes first. Then, you have to run the brushes over this bar to create foamy lather. Repeat it until the brushes are completely clean. Then you have to squeeze away excess water off the brushes and then rinse till the water is clear. Let the brushes and soap dry now.

Coming to how this brush works and whether it works – yes, it does make the brushes squeaky clean. When you use brushes on this bar, it lathers, but very lightly. Also, this product has a mild fragrance to it, smells soapy (well!)

Previously, I used to wash my makeup brushes using the Moroccan oil shampoo, it was a bit of an expensive affair for me. I have also used Make Up For Ever Brush Cleanser, but it’s not worth the money at all. Lotte soap bar is the best to get squeaky clean brushes. It does not take away the softness of brushes and is not harsh on them. I have also not seen any shedding with this cleanser, but of course, to shed or not, that depends on that particular brush 😛 Also, I don’t feel the need to disinfect the brushes after using this cleanser. I use it to clean all eye makeup and face brushes. I also use it to clean Beauty blender, Real Techniques, Zoeva brushes, and also Sigma ones. I would also like to mention that it removes tough foundation stains off the brushes.
