My Word on Lotus Herbals NATURALBLEND My Perfect Tint Foundation:

Packaging:  Now, this is interesting as the packaging consists of 2 separate compartments with separate flip top lids. Lotus has provided with two totally different shades of the foundation that needs to be blended together to get your perfect shade of tinted foundation. One shade is totally white while the other is quite a dark shade of the foundation. Mix them to make your own perfect tint foundation. :smirk:

2

Texture and Finishing:

I find the texture of the white part thicker than the darker foundation, but after mixing the two the consistency is like any liquid foundation that is easy to blend and it gets completely absorbed into the skin giving a matte yet soft feel to the skin. It’s quite light weight and gives a medium coverage to the skin.

Fragrance:  It has a noticeable scent associated with it, which is kind of flowery and fruity, but a bit chemical like to me and I do not like it much. :-/

Shade:  This is the trickiest part here. As mentioned, you need to mix the two shades to create your own skin tone matching shade, which is not an easy task or better to say that you need to run a series of trials to actually get to the nearest identical skin tone. :stars:

Swatches of the darker and white shades.

As one shade is quite darker than my skin tone, so I end up using a lot of white part of this foundation mixed with a very little quantity of the other shade to reach to quite a matching tinted shade. So, I am quite sure that I would finish up the lighter shade much faster than the other. Then, what would I do with the other part later. :struggle: and getting the perfect match is not a one-time job, but you need to mix and try it several times on your skin to reach to a satisfactory result and who has the time to do all that? :pan:

L- After blending the two shades and R- matte finishing after completely getting absorbed.

But it does a decent job by providing a matte medium coverage to the skin and controls oil too from your T-zone for quite a long time. I used it in summers outside and never got to struggle with wiping any sweat from my face. So, oily skinned people can surely give it a try. I find it better to be called as a concealer than a tinted foundation. It does that work nicely and as you can mix up to create a shade to be used as a concealer. Staying power is good and can be increased by using a nice compact/powder on top. :haanji:

Pros of the Lotus Herbals NATURALBLEND My Perfect Tint Foundation:

• Gives a matte medium coverage.
• Helps to control oil on the face for long.
• Can be used as a concealer too if used in proper quantity.
• Lightweight and easy to blend.
• Has SPF-15 for some added sun protection.
• Nice staying power for a tinted foundation.
• Will easily suit all skin types.
• A herbal product. No mention of any chemical in the short ingredient list provided.

Cons of the Lotus Herbals NATURALBLEND My Perfect Tint Foundation:

• Getting your exact skin tone matching shade is really an issue.
• Peculiar and noticeable smell.
• If you are on the fairer side, then you would definitely end up using the white part of the foundation much quickly than the darker shade.
• Mixing and matching thing is really time consuming, so you cannot use it in a hurry.
• Packaging looks cheap and also not consumer friendly.

Messy and cheap packaging.

Rating:

I would personally rate it at 2.75/5 as I do not like the unique fact of this blending concept suitable, since these days foundations are coming in a variety of shades that easily matches the skin tone.

Recommend/Repurchase:

A “No” for me. Anyone who finds it hard to get a true match to their Indian skin tone in a foundation can surely give this a try. Even very oily skinned people can try this as a base for their usual makeup because of its good oil-controlling capability.

  1. nids i have used this stuff and totally did not like it. exactly the same reasons your gave. the white part is like super white and rather than reaching the correct skintone, it becomes ashy. Pain to use. also i found the white part a bit too drying for my skintone. :yikes:

the white part can actually be used as a primer for oily skin girls. :sidefrown:

  2. yaaa the white one is really thick ! But then I think for my skin tone I would need both these in same quantity, but i donot see it in shop these days, will have to ask 4 it !seems nice to me though !

    1. anyways nids after ur review ofrevlon photoready foundation, i dont wanna buy anythingelse just thats in my wish list since along time, this puja will surely buy

      1. 😀 😀 😀 😀 Taps… Revlon photoready is simply gr8    .. u wud luv it for sure… :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo: this is cheap n can be used on a more daily basis so if u r liking this 1 .. u can give this a shot.. :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:

  3. Nidsy..sound perfect for me……I had heard about Revlon custom-made foundation a lot….this seems to be similar to that……..I want to try this….. :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:

  4. Nidsyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy….how many hours power cut are you having at your place….we had a total of 7 hours power off today 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁

      1. Parita…………….in Hyderabad na…strikes are going on na for telengana issue..that’s why the power cuts are going to continue…..the state is buying power from outside sources and there is shortage of power because employees are refusing to work……. :(( :(( :(( :(( :(( isliye ab regularly power cut hoga hi hoga

        1. Jomol, CG sells AP electricity and we have power cuts because they seem to sell all of it and leave nothing for us to use :yuck: :yuck:

          1. ohhhhhhhhhhhhh………..Maansi, our area is otherwise very power-full, because of this agitation going on, there is a such a shortage and small scale cottage industries have shut down completely for a few days because of loadshedding and all 🙁

          2. thats true…..many states sell their light to the more-needing states at higher costs n deprive their people of the necessity of life. :scream: :scream:

    1. no .. jomo.. no power cut.. it was just for an hour or 1 n haf hr… 😐 😐 😐 but no 7 hrs.. but y 7 hrs… :struggle: :struggle: :struggle:

      1. You not having 7 hours power cut…………..how unfair.. :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: :pissedoff: ..they are cutting our power by 7 hours…………..are you living near banjara or jubilee hills

        1. welcome to the club! there r places in maharashtra n many states i guess where the standard load-shading is of 12 hrs and then many unexpected power-cuts due to some failures. How ridiculous! :pissedoff: :pissedoff:

Thank god i’m outta there

  5. I honestly didnt like the concept of mixing two and makes your own foundation..i’ll probably get a different shade eveyrtime i use :yikes: plus i guess using more of white may even leave behind a white caste which will again look so unnatural..def not for me :thanks: for the review nids 🙂

    1. its really a pain to mix 2 things in the beginning but if u get used to it, then i think its okk.. but i didnt use it tht much ki i get used to it actually..    there’s not much of a white cast left btw.. it gets absorbed nicely..

  6. I cant imagine mixing and matching it every single day :yikes: :yikes: :yikes: one day i might look snow white  and the other day i might look :daayan: bada hi lame concept hai!!!!! :yuck: :yuck: :yuck:
and thanks for the review nids

      1. u know nids, so many of us go wrong in the shade selection part even when so many brands have so many shades to offer!!!! :shutmouth: :shutmouth: :shutmouth: upar se ye :headbang:

  7. I kinda feel lotus is leaving the shade part to the consumers and getting paid for it as well…oh the audacity!! Its like first you pay money for that shit and then do your own mixing and discover the best shade..very lame indeed.. :spank: :spank: :spank: :spank:

    1. OMG divya.. wht an interference..
yaar itna bhi bura nhi hai.. oily skinned pple ke liya ye gud hai …even if u sweat a lot in summers u can try this as a TM..

      1. Interference or inference??? ?:) ?:)
Ab tum hi soch ke dekho…paaise woh leh rahe hai aur kaam tumse karwa raha hai…these guys are vaaarryyy intelligent i say :waytogo: :waytogo: :waytogo:

  8. its a nice concept… like i was always curious abt this foundation.. but now tht u said its difficult making ur own shde…. im happy i havnt got it yet.. :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:
but it will b a great foundation corrector na.. for those who have a waste foundation bottle left coz they had got a wrong shade? by utilizing this they can correct their foundation shade… na?
nice review nids

    1. yes yes neha   .. it can work for a wrong shade foundation only it shud mix well with tht foundation as the consistencies may vary… :methinks: :methinks:

  9. i usually dont have much time to mix n match…i prefer something that can be smeared on the face quickly so i can dash off to my classes( i wake up just 15mins before the class time :dumb: ). it’s a pity they don’t have ready made shades…i am oily skinned n would have definitely loved it. :methinks: :methinks:

    1. they do hav other foundations Tinkerbell n u can chk those out but shades r limited i think 😐 😐 .. so this may suit u coz of skin type only but yess… hurrry hurry mei no.. :nababana: :nababana:

    1. Not exactly Rati, it will cost u only below 200 or somethn if u buy it from the original source (from Kerala), Ask Jomo na, she may have stocked it already

      1. Rati, it’s not as expensive like Kama, the original one by Kottakal Arya Vaidya pharmacy which is like one of the best and old brands sell it for somewhere around 200rs.

  10. I saw it on lotus counter, bt reallt hated it when SA showed it to me, i was like 😐 😐 , and finally didnt buy.. Aftr ur review i realizd , i did a good job by not buying it :happydance: .. Thanks for the review.. :thanks: :thanks:

  11. Errrrrrrrrrrr donno what to say… so messy naa…. and looks so thick on ur hand only… face pe toh aise lagega ki facepack lagaya hain 🙁
mera bhi foundation has turned orange on me… abhi im finishing the samples I got but im thinking photoready or the neutrogena one!

  12. i always used to order, k yeh 1 shade mai kyun aata hai 😐 😐
i wud have bought it out of curiosity someday 😛
thnkooo bhennn, mere paihe bach gye :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

    1. kaash tune ye out of curiosity mere se pehle dikha di hoti… to mere paise bachh jaate.. :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: :hihi: 😛 😛 😛 😛 😛

  13. Last Week When i went to a Beauty Shop that SA was keep on insisting me to buy this..
    Thank God.. I didnt buy
:thanks: for your review nids :rose:

      1. Act of blending.. :methinks:
First i need to learn to choose the correct shade Nids.. :headbang: :headbang:
This product is useless for beginners like me :nababana:

  14. Nids..me too bought this stuff out of curiosity very long ago.. :stars: but totally useless for me coz no matter how perfectly i mix the shades it is too orange for me! :spank: :spank: :spank: So i’m planning to use the white part for some halloween looks :dumb: :dumb: :dumb:

  15. u r rght Priti.. it may work wonders for sum .. i have read a few reviews frm oily skin tone pple who luv this product but it was a waste for me though.. 🙁
i’ll try to use it the way u suggest coz i want to find a way to actually finish it..
