My today’s pick is this new tan prevention cream by Lotus Herbals. Let’s jump into the review.

My Experience with Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Whitening+ Active Tan Prevention Creme SPF 50 PA+++:
Lotus Active Tan Prevention Cream comes in a nice white tube with an orange flip cap. The packaging is nice and travel friendly. The brand offers only one size, but this one tube lasts long. According to its price and quality, it is worth a buy. It has a pleasant scent in it which feels fresh and nice. Basically, all the products from this Whitening+ range smell the same.
The cream has a medium-thick consistency, and is beige in colour. The texture is very smooth, soft and creamy, which glides easily on the skin. It feels light once it’s blended properly, and provides a soft, natural glow with semi matte finish. It never makes my skin feel dry or patchy. It really moisturizes my skin deeply, but it’s not moisturising enough for dry skin, especially during winters. During summers, though, it will work well on all skin types. It gives a very fresh look to my dull skin. It never highlights my dry patches, like other whitening creams. It can control oil for up to 4 hours.
As it has a nice beige color, it never looks white and never leaves any white cast on my face. It gets quickly absorbed into the skin, making it bright. It actually makes my skin one tone brighter for a certain time period. I am not supporting the “whitening” tag, but I was expecting this cream to make my skin look fresh. It claims that it can provide a spot less skin, but that is not true. It can’t reduce my dark spots either. But, this cream definitely provides an instantly glowing skin. It suits my skin well, and has never broken me out.
It is a sunscreen with SPF 50 PA+++, so it provides a high protection from sun damage. It is really good for Indian summers. It keeps my face safe from sun and well protected from tanning. As it is a tan prevention cream, it helps to keep skin tan-free. I really like this 2 in 1 formula that it works as a sunscreen as well as a good brightening face cream.
The cream stays on my face for a decent time period. It keeps skin fresh and glowing for around 4-5 hours nicely. But, the directions say that it needs to be reapplied after 2-3 hours, which is not possible for me. So, I never reapply it and it still looks good on me. It keeps my skin oil-free for up to 3 hours. I need to use a compact or blotting paper after that.
