Lotus recently launched their own matte lipsticks to join the “matte lips” bandwagon. I bought a lot of shades as I love matte lipsticks. Today’s review will be on Electric Tang. Let’s get into the review now!

My Experience with Lotus Make-Up Electric Tang Pure Colors Matte Lipstick:
Packaging: The same bland “Lotus packaging” of light gold body. The packaging is very boring to be honest. The cap fits snugly and with a nice click. The bullet is gold in colour. The shade name and number are on a colour coded sticker attached at the bottom. Overall, it has a travel-friendly and compact packaging.
Colour/Pigmentation: Electric Tang is a gorgeous, slightly red-orange shade that flatters my medium-deep skin tone nicely! It isn’t a pure orange shade. It looks orange in some lights and more of a red in some lights. But nevertheless, I love this shade so much! It is nicely pigmented; you just need 2-3 swipes to get a nice shade on the lips.
Texture: This lipstick is the most comfortable matte lipstick. But I must say it isn’t 100% matte. It is kind of “satin matte”. Some shades are more matte than others. This goes on very smoothly on the lips and doesn’t dry out the lips even after hours of wear. It has a gel matte texture and not powder matte which is the kind of matte lipsticks I love.
Staying Power: It stays on for 5-6 hours on my lips. It does fade a bit when you eat or drink something. You might need touch ups after every 4 hours. After like about 4 hours, it starts to settle in the fine lines on the lips. To avoid this, you can exfoliate the lips prior to the application. But this is a very forgiving matte lipstick. • Gel matte consistency.
• Lovely texture.
• Goes on very smoothly and doesn’t dry out the lips.
• Good staying power.
• Suits almost all skin tones.
• Very forgiving matte lipstick.
Cons of Lotus Make-Up Electric Tang Pure Colors Matte Lipstick:
• It settles in the fine lines of the lips after 4-5 hours.
• Not 100% matte lipstick.

Yes to recommendation; no to repurchase because I already have a couple of similar shades.
