This is the second product I bought under the ‘IMBB Sponsored Products’ scheme. Lotus Makeup is one of those Indian brands that offer decent quality products. This Ecostay range has a lot of shades to choose from and I purchased this one called ‘Midnight Maroon’. Let’s read how this one fared for me.

My Experience with Lotus Makeup Ecostay Midnight Maroon Long Lasting Lip Colour:
Talking about the packaging, I really like the packaging of Lotus Makeup Ecostay range. This lipstick comes in a rose pink metallic cover. This packaging has a twist up lock mechanism and a long cap. This shade contains tiny shimmer particles due to which the texture of the lipstick turns out to be a bit rough.
You need to exfoliate your lips thoroughly otherwise you won’t be able to apply the lipstick correctly as it would accentuate dry lips and fine lines. The pigmentation of this lipstick isn’t good enough but the color can be layered and built up. It does give an opaque finish but you need to swipe the lipstick atleast 2-3 times on your lips.
Talking about the shade, I can describe this shade as a brick red shade which is slightly on the maroon side. This shade would work well with almost all Indian skin tones, which is a plus. When I had placed an order for this lipstick, I was expecting this one to be a pure maroon shade because the name suggests too.
When I checked out the shade of lipstick in person, it looked like a good red-brown shade. The shade looked quite unique in the bullet and I thought it would be a good addition to my collection but I was wrong. The lipstick turned out to be the same old and very common shade of red on my lips. I already have some similar shades in my collection. It stays for a decent number of hours but it’s highly transferable. After around 3-4 hours, no pigment is left on the lips. The good thing about this lipstick is that it does not settle into the fine lines.

No, not at all. This is a very common red maroon shade which many of us already own. Do not consider this particular lipstick even if you do not have this shade already because the pigmentation and staying power are not good.
