Lush Buche De Noel Cleanser Review

Lush Buche De Noel Cleanser

Hello Ladies, I’m doing this review after a long time. It’s about the LUSH facial cleanser “Buche De Noel”. I was running out of Angels on the bare skin cleanser and wanted to try a cleanser for winter. That’s when the SA suggested me this. Read on to know if I liked it or not.
Lush Buch De Noel Cleanser
Ingredients: Ground Almonds (Prunus dulcis), Kaolin, Glycerine, Fresh Satsumas (Citrus reticulata), Dried Cranberries (Vaccinium macrocarpon), Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Brandy, Almond Essential Oil (Prunus dulcis), Vetivert Oil (Vetiveria zizanoides), Cedarwood Oil (Juniperus virginiana), *Linalool, *Cinnamal, Perfume, Nori Seaweed (Algae), Candy Pine Tree
*Occurs naturally in essential oils

Lush Times: Buche de Noel was around last Christmas, but it went by the name of Santa’s Rice Porridge. It’s back this year with a few tweaks; it’s still fresh and preservative-free, but it’s a fresh cleanser now. We make it like a nutritious pudding with a twist.

Feed your face this Christmas with this lovely gentle winter face cleanser.
We think skin needs a little bit of extra looking after in the long cold months of winter, so we’re happy to include this cleanser in our Christmas range. We’ve packed it full of things to help your skin survive the cold and wind.

Buche De Noel is made by taking fresh satsumas and blending them with dried cranberries, vegetable glycerine, brandy, almond essential oil, vetivert oil and cedarwood oil. When that’s all whizzed up, we mix it with grated cocoa butter, ground almonds and kaolin until it becomes a thick paste. We then shape and roll it and finally cover it in a sheet of nori seaweed and pop on a little Christmas decoration.
What’s the point of all that on my face, we hear you ask.

Well, the fruit and the essential oils are going to clean your face and balance the skin, the cocoa butter is going to give back some lost moisture and leave your face feeling fed and supple, whilst the almonds and kaolin will absorb grease and act as a gentle exfoliant, clearing away that dead, dry skin and leaving you looking fresher and brighter.

So don’t let the cold outdoors and the dry heated indoors play havoc with your skin this winter. Give it its very own festive treat so it can celebrate the season in style.

My Experience With Lush Buche De Noel Cleanser

I prefer to use soap free cleansers for my face. My experience with Angels on the bare skin cleanser was quite good. So I picked this one to try as the SA told me that its more like AoBS. He had put a blank sticker over it without any information printed on it. There is no detail about expiry date too. The AoBS had 4 months validity, so I assumed that it should be same for this one too.
Swatch
It was wrapped in the Nori Seaweed. It smells to me like berry rich plum cake. Buche De Noel is also a mild exfoliating cleanser like AoBS. Here goes the review of AoBS if you have not used it yet.
I remove my makeup if I have any, before using this. Keep in mind that this is not a makeup remover ☺
How to use it ? Wet your face. Take a pea size of it. Make a paste by mixing water with it, apply and rinse off. Ta daa…You will have a soft, clean skin left behind.

It might not be as easy as I describe. It’s a little messy job to work with it. It’s more messier than using AoBS as this one is more chunkier. So more fall outs when you scrub it on your face. It’s better to use it near the sink. It is also good to use the palm to massage instead of the fingers. Trust me, all this worth the result.

Let me put it down for you guys.

What’s Good About Lush Buche De Noel Cleanser

1. Smells good. I personally enjoy the smell. It is very refreshing.
2. Very gentle on skin. Mildly exfoliates.
3. I love the ingredients list. Sounds so yummy.
4. I have read that it suited oily skin beauties really well. (I have a dry-combination skin)
5. Leaves the skin very soft and it has never dried my skin.
6. It has never broken me out
7. Even when the winter is gone its working well.

What’s Bad About Lush Buche De Noel Cleanser

1. It’s generally included in their Christmas range and not available throughout the year. I still found it at some lush store. Give it a try before they are completely sold out for this year.
That’s the only complaint I have about this

Final Word:
If you don’t mind taking a little more time and effort to pamper your skin like I do, then it is for you. One tub will last for minimum 3 months and you have to wait till next Christmas to get your hands on it. But don’t worry we have our AoBS for the rescue :))
