Lush Dream Steam Tab Toner Review

Lush Dream Steam Tab Toner

Hello Lovely ladies,

I hope you all had a very good weekend and an awesome festival . 🙂

I’m here to review Lush Dream Steam Tab toner. How many of you like to do mini facials at home or rather skip salons and do your own facials at home? I DO. 🙂

Lush Dream Steam Tab Toner review

I used to get regular facials while in India but I had some really bad experiences after coming to US. To remember few – I got very tanned from a summer vacation and decided to go for a facial. Salon lady advised me to go for lemon facial and I told her not to apply bleach on the face as it was already sensitive due to sun burn, but then, she just ignored what I said and applied bleach on my face which made it to burn even more. There was this other lady who just used all the left over bananas at home for a fruit facial. 🙁  After these incidents I decided to go for American Salons, they did what I wanted but they were quite on the higher side of my budget for facial. So I decided to go there only for very special occasions and started to do “at home” facials.

I love to steam my face after scrubbing to remove the gunk out of my pores. I used to add turmeric or olive oil to the boiling water but then I saw this steam tab on lush website and decided to give it a try.

What lush has to say about it:
Calming lavender steam
Steamer tab is inspired by Dream cream body lotion. It’s so beloved because it contains all of the most calming ingredients to soothe troubled skin. These ingredients are put in steamy tab to help anyone who suffers from sensitive skin. Rose absolute calms redness, antibacterial tea tree oil cleanses and the lavender and chamomile oil blend makes skin and mind feels at peace.

Features:
Soothing ingredients: This tab is suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
Tone for two days: Save the water after steaming to use it as a toner for two days.
The king and queen of oils: Lavender oil and rose absolute soothe the skin and help improve its appearance.

Ingredients:
Sodium Bicarbonate , Citric Acid , Perfume , Lavender Oil (Lavandula augustifolia) , Rose Absolute (Rosa damascena) , Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla) , Tea Tree Oil (Melaleuca alternifolia) , *Citronellol , *Geraniol , *Limonene , *Linalool , Rose Petal Infusion (Rosa centifolia)

How to use:
Fill a medium-size bowl with very hot water and drop in a toner tab. immediately drape a towel over your head and the bowl to let the steam deliver its anti-oxidants and vitamin-rich essential oils to your skin. Once the tab has finished fizzing, remove the towel and gently pat your face dry. Finish off with a LUSH moisturizer for fresh and hydrated skin. You can put the water from the bowl in a spray bottle and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Use it to spritz tired skin whenever you need a lift.

Lush Dream Steam Tab Toner review

My take on the product:

Smell: This smells heavenly. There is a prominent rose smell to the tab.

Texture: This has a texture of a chalk piece.
I used half of the tab, as I felt the whole tab would be way too much for steaming. I poured some water and brought it to slight boil and added half of the tab. The smell is quite strong so I removed the towel for few seconds to breathe but it is not unpleasant. It made my skin feel extremely soft and really helps to open up the pores to remove the blackheads/whiteheads out of the skin and it is perfect to use before any face mask. The aroma helped me to relax my face and it feels like a mini spa treatment.

4. Makes the skin appear smooth.
5. Ideal for very sensitive skin.
6. Helps to sooth and relax the skin.
7. All the ingredients have good skin benefits.
8. The used water can be used a tone for two days.
9. It acts a perfect step 2 for home facials.
10. Inexpensive.

Lush Dream Steam Tab Toner

Cons:
1. The aroma can be too much for those who are allergic to fragrances.
2. May not be a mandatory step for facials for all women. It is a luxury. 🙂

I would recommend anyone this product and I’ll definitely repurchase it.
